Game To Get for 2010 - Not Halo Reach?

I'm going to rent Halo Reach if Gamefly gives me a chance but it isn't the game I have been waiting for in 2010. If you look back at the 2010 roster of games so far, nothing actually really stands out (maybe except for Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty but who plays computer games anymore... j/k).

The one game that I'm interested in is Fable III and I don't really know way. Fable II was a good game with an 'ok' story line but had an interesting way to keep you going and hooked to your character. I think I'm more interested in how they will improve it this time around (third times a charm huh?).

I think its a preference and I am still a Halo fan at heart (I do like the store and how its progressed so far) but my opinion might change once I start playing. Who knows, I might start moving away from Modern Warfare 2 ;)

I take offense to your statement on PC Games good sir, so I challenge you to a DUEL TO THE DEATH!

Defiantly New Vegas or Civ 5. And get it on the PC.

If its a dual to the death playing a PC game, then I know you will win ;) (I might have a chance on Counter Strike but I haven't played that game in ages).

I bet I am missing a whole bunch of PC games this year but I always over look them because of my lack of interest in them. I have heard great things about Civ. Games and I will have to spend some money and play the newest (just suck it up and play it).

I forgot about New Vegas and that also looks like a good game for the Fallout fans.

Did you really say that? 2010 has been one of the best years for gamers yet. People can't have forgotten about Mass Effect 2 already?!

@Robiin - I played Mass Effect 2, loved the story and had a blast with it when I had it but just like Mass Effect, I have forgotten about it already. This doesn't mean its a bad game because just like a good book, I will go back and play it again when I'm ready.

@TheOther - Again, another great game with a great story and I can see why people like the online multiplayer but to me, that got old real quick. I could see myself going back to it though later on to get into the story again or try to finish up the achievements because it was that good.

When I said "nothing really stands out", I mean there haven't been any games yet  on my list of 2010 bests that have made me want to go back for more. Nothing against the 2010 games that have or will come out this year.

@ruffedgz: Could you please go into my brain and pull those five sentences out. I do not want them anymore.
