Love this series! Haven't played ME 2 since it came out but can't you bend your biotics to get round cover?? If an enemy has the red rectangle round it I thought you could aim away slightly to apply a bit of curve?
You can actually aim away more than slightly and then, yes, it'll bend beautifully around cover. Full adept build with one point into pull and max points into throw makes for a wonderful biotic ballet of floating enemies that will then blast off into the stratosphere.
It's been said before, but it really pays to stick to either paragon or renegade responses (and also the corresponding paragon or renegade interrupt actions). If you keep going back and forth between the two, you will lock yourself out of both dialogue options in the later part of the game because you won't have generated enough points in either.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills whenever I hear people fawning over Nier. The best parts of the game are wildly gratuitous that border on almost South Park-like moments. See that robot? He's actually sad!!!!!
The gameplay is bad; the characters are bad apart from a2; the story is lacklustre except for some moments towards the end that are kind of interesting. However, all in all, it's a pretty mediocre game.
That's great.
I love that game. See that robot? He's actually sad, indeed. The fact that it is a robot is not that interesting to me. But the conditions that engendered its sadness, and the place those conditions have in the larger world of which the robots are a part, definitely are.
The characters are interesting with the exception of Adam and Eve. The story is compelling and definitely kept me going through the different routes. The gameplay is very solid and has a lot of possibilities to explore. Unfortunately, the game rarely gets hard enough for the player to be pushed to utilize those possibilities.
I've spent some 30 hours with the game so far and I'm not enjoying it. However, I have trouble letting go of the game. I know I should but I just keep slogging through it.
Best thing about the game: the main theme. That's some good music right there. I just wish there was something of interest beyond that.
