@hughj: Thanks. Yes, the AI's sophistication does not seem to be an evolution of previous patterns. Hitman 2: Silent Assassin was particularly unforgiving, and the distance and sound had more significance in being detected.
I've seen this instant failure conditions and hostility upon discovery in MGS1! It's disappointing to see Hitman be on that level.
I always enjoy reading your articles, Brad. But, I should disagree. I don't think this package is great (not that anyone cares what I think).
Consider this, HItman's reboot has had at least three re-releases up to this point, it was published by WB and what we get is more of the same with impressive ambiance architecture and clever NPC placement.
I would still prefer MGSV. A game this very website criticized for not having enough content. Both games original retail prices are 60$.
I think Hitman is fun but, is overall an inferior stealth game due to weaker AI patterns and lack of gameplay choice/freedom of interaction within missions.
@webrunner: Thank you for the response. To be clear, I am in no way trying to insinuate Abby's behavior was antisemitic or inspired by hatred. I think it may have been insensitive.
As for antisemitism's use, Britannica defines it by "Anti-Semitism, hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious or racial group..."
@kmfrob: Technically, you are correct. But, the term is used in everyday language to refer to extreme behavior, e.g., Judaism is not a race, but an anti-semite is considered "a racist."
