Truly Scary 0

This is perhaps one of the scarier games I've played. That could be due to the fact that there aren't the usually firearm to use. Instead, magic is used and so is a sword.  How the developers incorporated the creatures into it and events all combine into a horrific game play.  Like any other horror game, the character has to make her rounds through the estate looking for clues and objects to further her progress. Of course, some objects should be left alone. Probably why poop hit the fan.  And a...

One of the Best non-Eroge 0

I had no idea how deep and intriguing this story was when I first played it.  What initially drew me to the game was that fact that it took place in an underwater facility that had somehow trapped a handful of people. Now, their goal is to escape from that wreakage. Time is not on their side as the water pressure outside will over stress the facility's structure and destory it. It's a desperate situation that these people are in. As a player plays this, the question is how does these people get ...

I Wish I had a Choice at the End 0

This was my first time playing a Prince of Persia game. It was a good game. I just wished that it was much more challenging though. There weren't that many enemies and the bosses were mediocre. One thing that I found absolutely beautiful was the games environment. Absolutely beautiful. Of course, I loved the fact of the before and after results. Stunning and breath taking. Some people have liken this to Assassin's Creed and rightfully so. As our Prince climbs around, it's very similar to Assassi...

Ah, reminds me of my High School Days of Infamy. 0

Well maybe not, but River City Ransom was a very good 2D side scrolling beat'em up game on the NES. This game was so much fun due to the fact that, personally, it was humorous.  As for a beat'em up game, it's the only one that I could recall in being unique in powering up the player's characters. This was an ingenious way to add a different type of game play element to the game. Of course taking place in a town, the game makes use of the shops to offer power ups.  Recommendations: If you like ol...

Turtle Ninjas > Pirates 0

Certainly, this game was an awesome 2D fighting game. One of the best ones out there during that generation. Of course, as most 8-bit games, it was long and brutal. If I recall correctly, the farthest that I've gotten without cheating would be the sewers...or maybe the Technodrome. Usually gator head totally obliterates us or the long corridors in the Technodrome. Usually, I had to resort to the cheat code.  Just like any other 2D games, it quite long with lots of enemies. It's nice how the stag...

Tedious Work 0

Since this game was made by Atlus, I thought I'll give it a try since most games I've played from Atlus were good. There were a few that were extremely disappointing. Though, Master of Monster Lair isn't as disappointing.  The story line is absurd at best but extremely humorous. Only in Japan right? Of course. Anyway, having found a shiny shovel, the boy has to dig dungeons and so forth. There isn't much to the game so I was surprised when a story was somehow fitted into the game. After a couple...

How would you like a cup of tea bag? 0

I'll only focus mainly on the online portion as I haven't really dug into the single player portion.  Of all the games I'll played, the online portion can get really crazy. Team death matches of 30 versus 30 is such an incredible blast. Well, I suppose I should retract that. Depending on how well both teams work, it could be a blast.  Visuals on the PS3 is like any other games I've played which is superb. Insomniac did such a great job on the visuals and environments. While playing the stages su...

The Metal Gear of Horror 0

Personally, this game isn't so much of a horror game as I expected that it should be. For those that are familiar with the Metal Gear Series, I think Siren is very much like MGS except that Siren is a horror "tactical espionage action" game. That's how I felt when playing the game. Just like MGS, weapons were acquired-on-site (AOS). The difference would be that Siren has a large casts that eventually ties together. Their actions are linked to one another. Of course, having yet beaten the game, I...

Metal Gear Fan Service 0

The game visually is quite stunning. It blew me away at how visually deep it was. The attention to detail was insane. Then again, from the PS3 games I've been playing, all the games tend to be visually stunning.  The story was a disappointment. I thought Kojima and co could've done better. Reason why was that things were wrapped up quite quickly. Well, I suppose that things had to end somewhere and I just found that at times, the story was ridiculous. Seriously, why all the Frogs? I sometimes ha...

My Reason to buy a PS3 0

One of the better games I've played as of late. A take on WWII in another dimension. Learning to play the game was simple enough. With the use of symbols that distinguishes specific units, it proves easy to identify which units are what. Couple the gameplay with a unique graphics engine, the game is artistically brought to life.  Though the game is a turn-base tactical game, the flow of the gameplay proves to be much more faster than traditional turn-based games. As for the story, Valkyria Chron...

Mediocre At Best 0

I don't know whether it's me or not but it seems that strategy turn-based RPG's may no longer be my thing. In other words, I might not be interested in them as much.Personally, the game started out slow and was slow throughout most of the game. I had to force myself to play. I suppose it might've been the main story plot. I really enjoyed playing the offshoot story plots because those were much more interesting than the main story plot. Thank goodness for those side missions! The graphics are sup...

The Romance Final Fantasy 0

If someone wanted a romance type RPG, this would be the game for it. It started out slow and awkward but things started to play out. I got to point out one thing though that the manual is misleading in a way. It gives a perceive notion that the game will be about two men. More specifically about Laguna and Squall. Not true. Take a good look at the image that is part of the Final Fantasy VIII title. Whoever did the design of the manual and such should've did a better job. (I really wish that Lagu...

The RPG that Final Fatansy 7 was meant to Be 0

Xenogears is probably one of the best RPGs that I have played. Though sadly, I played the game almost a decade later. Reason why? It was because whenever I saw the game, I put off my purchase and got something else. It was a good thing that I wanted to play the game until I was more mature. Mentally mature that is. As for the game itself, it was one of those games that slowly sucked the players in. When I first played the demo, it was so cool that there were giant mechas in it. During that time,...
