How would you like a cup of tea bag?
I'll only focus mainly on the online portion as I haven't really dug into the single player portion.
Of all the games I'll played, the online portion can get really crazy. Team death matches of 30 versus 30 is such an incredible blast. Well, I suppose I should retract that. Depending on how well both teams work, it could be a blast.
Visuals on the PS3 is like any other games I've played which is superb. Insomniac did such a great job on the visuals and environments. While playing the stages such as Orick, I would notice the large battleships or the small fighters flying through. Even at times, a fleet of ships passing by. It's a spectacle in the momentary pause of battle.
Another type of game that I like to play is core control which is also on the Orick map. This is were things gets competitive. You'll usually know when people start tea bagging the body of a dead opponent as a show of strength and gesture of power.
I've played a couple meltdown games but personally, it's not as fast paced as core control. I suppose that core control is the Resistance 2 sport and people likes sports. That's that for the competitive portion of the online part.
Onto the cooperative portion. This is where having reliable team mates counts. Since the enemies are A.I.s, they are extremely ruthless. More so in super human type games. When everyone is working together, it could sure be fun.
Recommendations: If you're an FPS fan, the online portion is worth it. R2 is a typical but enjoyable FPS game. For those that don't like humans v humans, Resistance 2 is for you.
