Left 4 Dead 2 and Assassins Creed 2. It's weird because I actually got really bored of Assassins Creed and barely completed it. I'm optimistic though, with 2 lets hope they shove in a hell of a lot more variation.

I once dreamt that Roman Centurions broke down my front door and dragged me from my bed. They then crucified me in my school gym. It was beyond weird.

Not sure if it's catholic guilt or I'm a psychopath ?

Republic of Ireland. I'm surprised at the amount of Irish people wandering around on the forums, it's heartwarming. :)

This actually happened in a all boys school in Dublin, I know one guy who goes there. Apparently the student got expelled and the teacher got reprimanded for "chasing the student out of a window". It brightens my day every time I watch it.

I had a sub for about a week when I was about 10. His name was Mr.McSharry and he was a former postulant (basically a monk in training). He had a very strong Northern Irish accent and had plenty of issues. I remember we asked him why he didn't want to be a monk anymore and what he said can only be described as .. inappropriate to say to a classroom full of young lives.. He just looked off into the distance and said "God couldn't love me back".  At the time we just all took it to mean he wanted a hug but now ? Well, at least he was honest. At another point, a girl fell off her chair when he was writing on the board. We all laughed but when he turned around the girl was back on her seat and well, he was just looking at a class of laughing children. Instead of just taking joy in the glee of the young, he flew into a rage and told us to "stop laughing at his gammy teeth". He was an odd,odd man but I still laugh at some of his antics to this day.

But he also taught me to never laugh at anyones "gammy" teeth.

Next Gen and DS9 are perhaps the greatest sci-fi shows of all time. I loved them for opposite reasons though.

Next Gen had the quirky humour and the variety in stories. Nearly every episode was a different, unconnected little story (unless you take into account a few story arcs and Q's judgement of humanity in the first and last episodes .. then it is all connected..spooky.). It updated the original Star Trek cast, Data was clearly a fresh take on Spock, Riker was the new McCoy and so on. I learned important philosophical ideas from Star Trek. It really did mold me into the person I today; while my peers were brushing their barbies hair, I was trying to work out if Moriarty could have really survived outside of the holodeck because of his belief in Descartes "I think, therefore I am". Thrilling stuff.

I love DS9 for mainly because of spiraling plot line. Those twists, the constant interconnection. The struggle the Bajorans had also really hit home with me and my cultural identity. As an Irish person, a hell of a lot of parallels can be drawn between the Bajorans and the Irish and then the Cardassians and The British. Those episodes were Kira struggled with her passion for Bajoran independence, her hatred of her previous oppressors the Cardassians and her duty to represent peace for Bajor on Star Fleet. Compelling stuff. Jadzia Dax and Warf, a timeless love story. I'd say I was about 7 when Jadzia died and I was inconsolable. It was awful. Still get a little bit teary eyed. DS9 also brought a lot of species to the fore that took a back seat in Next Gen. Picard never really had to deal with that many greedy Ferengi or heartless Cardassians. Poor Sisko ("JAKE!!").

I hold so much love for Star Trek, I remember at asking my frankly terrified father why Jadzia Dax couldn't love a woman just because Dax happened to be joined to a woman now ? Just what amazing shows ...

No she wouldn't Pie, if there is one thing that unites both males and females together it's tasty, tasty Pie ! Plus, any comments you do make are made in good humor, unlike some involving certain orifices and what to stick in them.

People have mentioned the idea of a female moderator and I would stand along Linkyshinks in putting forward ValkyrieGoddess.

I can only really speak of myself but I haven't had too many bad experiences on GiantBomb regarding my gender and fellow posters reaction to it. The majority of forum users would maybe throw a few gender related jokes out there but I expect and even welcome that.  Some debating and discussion with a mix of banter and harmless fun is what makes these forums so great to be apart of.  However, when the jokes get too sexual or sexist, it just needs to be nipped in the bud. A moderator needs to step in and say when enough is enough. Of course the current moderators are perfectly capable of doing so *cowers in fear*. I just think a female would have more understanding of what the gender line is and when exactly it has been crossed.

As for the previously mentioned topic "Modelling Gig Tomorrow", the female poster deserves none of your pity. She let down her fellow female posters. There are so few of us and I feel like most of us have developed a good enough reputation. But creating a topic that promises "provocative" modelling pictures ?? I have neither the time or the inclination to say how disgusted I am by it, suffice to say I think she is an attention seeking .... little miss. The abusive posts she received were well deserved, as I said in the actual topic - if you play with fire you are going to get burned.

But I do really really think ValkyrieGoddess should be seriously considered as a candidate. A multitude of perspectives is always good.
