Look, I tried to tell you about the Chocobo Breeding shortcuts because I knew doing the actual legwork the way the game wants you to would be damaging to your soul. Would you listen? NOooooooooo! You could have avoided giving any fucks about the racing, because it's not required. The hardest part about the way most people get the golden chocobo now is catching the right two chocobos to begin with. Could have saved you 2 hours and a lot of Enya.

But, I'm so glad you played and finished FFVII. I picked it up for my PC in 1999 when i was a year away from finishing high school and it was so incredible. I had that high definition image of Cloud and Tifa on top of the Nibelheim water tower on my PC background for a long ass time. That said, I didn't beat it until this earlier this year. Years and years of losing saves, and stopping and restarting on different platforms (I own 3 versions of it for PS1, PC-CDrom, and Steam). It was the last game I beat before my son was born in July and it was great! So, congrats on beating that and VIII. Enjoy IX, another FF game that i have played through some of, but not beaten... yet.
This and Aeris' Death both rocked my adolescent gamer nerd life. The horror and realization of that moment in SS2 was shit-inducing.
Snowboarding aside, you are in for some real interesting times in Disc 2 and 3. Also, be smart and get your GP in the golden saucer from playing Super Dunk instead of the dumb snowboarding game. :) Don't get me wrong, the ability to replay and unlock harder snowboarding courses is sorta fun, IF you are just screwing around and like snowboarding. My first playthrough of the game when it came out, I was AMAAAAAZED by the snowboarding feature. I played that mini-game a lot, but it was 1999 and it was the first time I'd played FFVII on my PC. When I replayed FFVII (and actually beat it for the first time) earlier this year, I was more than content to just muddle through the snowboarding part that you have to play in the Icicle Inn area.

While I also enjoy Yoshi, there's no doubt that Kirby is easily better. He gains abilities by eating things and can fly. Plus, while I absolutely love Yoshi's Island, there are only a few Kirby games that weren't great or crazily innovative for their time.
Pretty sure I played through the entirety of Persona 3 without realizing the student at the head of the classroom after school is a fast travel into town. I manually ran out of the school pretty much every fucking day.
Oh wow! I totally did that too! I don't feel that bad about it though, a lot of the time I wanted to mosey around the school and talk to people.
I love Star Trek but for some reason many DS9 episodes are hard to watch. I think I just don't care about the characters. I haven't been able to get to season 4. Only started trying to watch it last summer. And I keep forgetting to stick to it.
For me, DS9 doesn't get interesting until season 2.
