Thanks for writing this, Austin. As a weird gaming nerd myself, I appreciate it. I think I'm going to love going on the deep dives into this complicated gaming culture with you. I'm glad the GB guys picked you up. Keep up the good writing, Dr. Games. :)
I still have the Mega Man and Mega Man X collections that they put out on PS2... but I will probably purchase the PC version when it's released. I could see throwing down $30 for it.
It's heartening news that Frank Cifaldi is heading up that preservation division, the man is a legend and has done really great things for game preservation already. He used to be on 1up's Retronauts and while his website has been dark for a few years, he's got retro games in his blood.
Thanks for making this list! I've been a subscriber ever since they've offered it and this list has really helped me track down my favorite videos too! Keep on rocking, Duder! :)
Great article as always - makes me wonder who the audience for Early Access is nowadays?
I like early access for games i'm really interested in. If the game gets finished, you'll usually get the full version for whatever you bought into it.
@vinster345: it's not like they are going anywhere now that they are out. I'd get TIE fighter first, but I'd also pick up X-Wing later on. Both are fantastic.
@alkusanagi: TIE Fighter is really great. Flying around in a TIE Advanced or Defender is pretty amazing. So is rising up in the Emperor's Secret Circle for winning battles.
