Per the Nintendo eShop website, "Piczle Cross Adventure takes the classic nonogram logic-puzzle and turns it into something never before experienced in the genre: a story-driven, RPG-style 2D graphical adventure!"

Game came out today, 4/16/20 for Switch.

Nice write-up! I live in Chicago and was fortunate enough to attend the Friday concert. Even knowing most of what happens, the music in Nier is good enough that I'd really like to play the game. Hopefully that rumored remake / port happens.

Most noteworthy event of the night for me happened afterward during the meet and great. One of the attendees asked Yoko Taro to sign her thigh...

P.S. for anyone who felt they missed, out, the FFVII Remake concert tour tickets go on sale 2/27.

I was really bummed the Great Ace Attorney games didn't make it over, which is definitely cutting into the content of his we get. I would definitely be interested in a new series; perhaps using the ending of PW: Spirit of Justice as a springboard?

Wow great deal! I had been scouting on eBay for a while and finally went in one because it included a cart that came in a flash!

I'm looking forward to trying the SNK Cardfighers Clash games, Faselei! and the Ogre Battle game.

Hey there,

First year participating in Extra Life and I'm very excited. To incentivize donations I'm doing a few giveaways and had questions for anyone with experience in that department.

1. I am giving away items I own and that were not solicited from elsewhere. Are there any tax implications I or the recipient should know of?
2. How do you keep track of entrants? It looks like I can see who has donated on the Extra Life page but I'm not sure how much identifying information will be available to me.

Thank you for the help!

I had a brief kick where I was into collector's editions of games and bought them for both Bioshock 2 and Fallout: New Vegas at $100 each. Until Sonic Mania, those were the only two I'd ever purchased.

More recently, I spent $70 for a copy of Einhander on the Playstation 1. As the store I bought from is a hybrid that sells movies and music, the cashier was very confused at the expense.

As for card games... I've kept my spending on Hearthstone to only $100. Magic the Gathering though... thousands. Singles, boosters, sleeves, boxes, and then travel expenses to play in a bunch of tournaments. I don't regret it, but it's probably more than I've spent on all other gaming combined in my life.

I think the best you're going to get is a reviewer indicating their time spent with the game as part of their review. Video games are not consumable in a way that is conducive to finishing every game released, as there is simply not enough time. Trying to qualify what or how much of a game must be seen is not constructive because people have varying tastes regarding what they want to know before a purchase.

Several years ago there was a podcast called "Up and In", which was hosted by Kevin Goldstein. The podcast was normally about baseball, but Kevin was also a big fan of video games and had Brad on to talk shop. That's where I found out about the Bombcast, and I started listening in early 2011: my first memory is Vinny talking about this weird game "Demon Souls".

As for Kevin, he's had an interesting trajectory since then, as he's gone from podcast host / writer to the Director of Scouting for the Houston Astros. Last season, the Astros made the playoffs as a Wild Card and beat the Yankees, largely succeeding with players drafted since he came aboard.

Just FYI, Amrou Seekers is ALSO reference to a card from Legends called Seeker. It was a 2WW Enchant Creature (Aura) that read, "Enchanted creature can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or white creatures".
