Yeah, Jeff’s notorious lack of patience for video games is in rare form here. AC’s first hours are known to be a bit of a slag. To be so dismissive of a game that imminently gets much deeper...I just feel bad for him missing out on all the impending fun.

What’s more, it seems like some of the other staffers are having a decidedly better time with the game (Jan, Ben & Jason), but as usual Jeff’s tirade seems to take center stage. Would have loved to have heard a more nuanced/balanced conversation about it.

Pretty much. He really doesn't have much patience for new releases and it's a bummer to see. Jeff has been pretty pro-Crossing in the past and I was hoping to hear a deep dive from him about New Horizons, but I guess he's just giving up on it already? A shame.

Anyone who has been playing video games for more than 10 years is bound to have little patience for the same old crap. When you play games for that long (or even more, as is the case with Jeff), it just gets inevitable.

I can see a lot of people in this comment section who are critical of game critics being critical lmao.

Stadia's situation isn't "bizarre" Jeff, it's plain and simply unprofessional. I wonder if there are even any non gamers who have heard of Stadia. Considering these people were their best bet for success, it's baffling that they haven't used the massive reach they have to promote the service.

Valorant looks so generic. It's literally just a mix between CS:GO and Overwatch. I seriously don't get what you guys see as interesting in it. If this wasn't a Riot game you wouldn't even mention it.

@brad On the Nvidia Now topic: What Nvidia is doing is providing the server service. The user provides the games. I don't see why Nvidia should be paying the game developers who were already paid by the user. Imagine Microsoft applying a restriction on Microsoft Office files in Dropbox until Dropbox starts paying a cut to Microsoft. Sound ridiculous doesn't it?

Hope your baby is A-okay, Jeff! That Prince of Persia movie is a disgrace if you've ever played the original Ubisoft trilogy!

I love the game suspension on the PS4. It's one of my favourite features and one of the reasons why I think a console can be more practical for gaming than a PC. It has worked with most games for me, although there were some exceptions.

I'm convinced of getting this game, after hearing this. I was skeptical towards the "gamification" in excess but now I understand better where the devs are coming from and it sounds really good!

Exclusivity was always bad as far as it concerned gamers. If anything I'm surprised it took Sony and Microsoft so long to figure out that timed exclusives was the best way to go. Rockstar figured it out back in 2013.

On the bathtub question: I'd go with a bathtub of unpeeled cucumbers. They're mostly water and they don't go bad at room temperature (or if they do it must take a lot of time). You can eat as much as you want of them and you won't have any health problems. Besides their taste is pretty neutral so you know you won't get annoyed eating them.
