It's really depressing finding out that people really care this much. If you can afford a PS3, you most likely have a functional computer. If that is truth, then there is no point in using a half-broken OS on a gamepad, unless you waste a ton of bandwidth and time with pirating huge games.
This is a situational thing, anyways. If Sony was removing something important, like when they removed B/C, then people being in an uproar would make sense, but as of now it's kind of bizarre that people are leading these lives with multiple machines that run the SAME OS but one is less useful and more broken.
Well, yeah, but I think it adds more to the charm. As you said their really isn't a -chan or -kun equivalent without appending every sentence with "friend" or something.
Despite it not being technically correct translation I think the game would lose some of its charm if it started dropping filtered translations like that.
• No Japanese honorifics. It's really not a big deal, but since I am not Japanese, it feels awkward to see -kun and -san and such after everybody's name. I'm sure there are English honorifics that can be used instead.
OH GOD THIS
"
I don't get this mindset at all. You're playing a Japanese-ass game designed for a very specific audience, and that change is never going to happen and I think Nich Maragos even said something to that effect on a Retronauts episode talking about the MegaTen series. Also, it seems like a really simple thing to get used to.
Oh, and adding a few adult characters or falsely accused antagonists into the mix wouldn't be a bad idea, kind of like how that big Persona 4 fan-fic did with Namatame (Simalcrum or something like that?)
"Don't think we need to worry about adult persona settings, as i'm quiet sure it's stated many times that past a certain age, you become incapable of using personas. Then again...there's Adachi...although he's still young. I'd prefer it on PS3, persona on a 360 controller would just not feel right to me, cause of all the time with the ps2. "
No, I think that was miscommunication or a translating error, because Persona 2 has a myriad of adults using their persona. But, maybe that's just an alternate reality business with Philemon being able to grant them their persona...but then the JOKER...agh, convoluted.
I'd like there to be another dualogy like Persona 2. What I mean by that is, bring back Baofu.
But really, just create a likeable set of characters (maybe one or two more than Persona 4) that are all useful in combat and have at least decent S. Links (as much as I like Naoto, her S. Link is terrible). Make the daytime schedule more complex, as in hour based or have more than just three segments of the day.
Oh, and Baofu and Katsuya having cameos would be pretty sweet.
From the demo, for reasons I can't quite put my finger on, this game looks terrible.
Well I can put my finger on it, to tell the truth: From the awful enemy character reactions, stunningly bad voice acting from Ubisoft, to a half broken cover system and pointless interrogation system we have something that is somehow worse than the previous Splinter Cell games.
I'll go and play my MGS and Assassin's Creed for stealth action than this game that plays like an early Beta at best.
"the game looks great, the voice acting is wonderful, the battle system is like a better Valkyrie chronicles, and character customizing is like my wet dream."
Do you mean Valkyrie Profile or Valkyria Chronicles? "
well you see I typed Valkyrie chronicles because that's the game I wanted to reference why the hell are you talking about valkyrie profile? I mean I know they are made by the same people but I typed chronicles so I meant chronicles. "
Why the hell? Because either Valkyrie Chronicles is a Japanese/European name for something, or you're not very good with names.
