Great write up.

Also so you guys know "Safe Gold" is any gold you get from killing a hero

"Unsafe Gold" is everything else (I.E. gold over time, last hitting creeps, tower kills ect)

I think the point of safe vs unsafe is it really allows you to interrupt junglers and carries so they can not just sit and harvest all game.

Also as a quick nitpicky thing, when you die you do not loose all your unsafe gold you only loose like 30 * your level I believe

@tunaburn: Not true, I know how to play pretty well and I still get called noob constantly (I like playing supports)

@Jimi Umm I have always had an extremely hard time with Skeleton King personally. Also I am going to totally disagree with the idea of randoming a hero unless you have someone there to hold your hand to explain the skill and item build you should use. You should probably focuse the first couple games just getting the basics down with one character.

Anyway I have been playing with some new players and the characters they seem to latch on to are Lich, Ursa, Sandking, and Axe.

Also as one last note Doom seems like a fine first character to learn. But the secret to him (at least what I find when I play him) is making sure to use his lvl death correctly. It does HUGE damage with the level multiplier so don't just level it up mindlessly try to keeping it at lvl 3 (so that it bonus damages lvl 4 heros) until their team hits level 6. And make sure not to waist it on anyone who does not qualify for the bonus damage as it is an extremely mana heavy move but with the bonus damage can take early game heros down to half life.

Hey so based on the total lack of posting on this forum I am guessing not a lot of the community is playing this game. But would anyone here want to get a for fun clan up. I would love to play with some guys who where not pubs (i.e. read assholes).

Also I don't claim to be amazing at dota but if anyone is looking for someone to teach them the basics ping me, I know enough to get you started.

@Buzzkill said:

I don't want to play a Blizzard version of DTOA because Blizzard has sodomized their lore enough.

God forbid the lore(that they stole from warhammer) develop and take a personality of its own. No I much rather them make shitty games but stay true to the lore I totally agree.

Also two more things, I happen to like the warcraft lore and starcraft's is not bad either exactly where did they kill it, cause even in World of Warcraft they are pretty true to the WC3 lore. The only place it really changed is from WC2 on(but again WC2 lore was just stolen from warhammer)

Also I don't think this will contribute to any of the blizzard lore at all, if you watched the trailer it is going for a comedic style game, which is something I think Blizzard does very well.

P.S. God dammit I just read you name and I responded to a troll didn't I.....

“I equate reviewers to sports referees and economists; they make a living our of getting it right only some of the time. Once you bear that in mind you don't get annoyed by this review.”

That is very insightful, cause I will not lie I look at some of the reviews (and even more so quick looks) of games that I play on this site and others, and I find my self thinking "Are they stupid that is blatantly wrong" or "WHAT you are criticizing that feature, that is what made me love the game"
