People still don't seem to know why people are talking so much about Abby. It's because she said the same things over and over and for the most part didn't actually make any valid points in her arguments. She also wouldn't let anything go and just kept on about DD until they just gave it to her. People are saying that it's just because she's a woman, but wtf are people not allowed to make criticisms about someone if they're female now? The other thing I've seen people say is that others have done it in past GotY discussions. Ok, I'm sure it was annoying then, but that doesn't make it any less annoying now lol.
If we want to make it equal then I can also say that Dan kinda dumped on an entire genre and Brad was a snappy old coot a couple times. It's not because she's a woman. And when it comes to the list itself, it's whatever. It's their list, not ours, so who am I to complain about it? It's just their collective opinion.
Anyway I'm confident she'll come back way stronger next year. She's got experience under her belt now.
@dystopiax: You're not wrong about him being dismissive of DD. It's always annoying when he's so dismissive of entire genres, but holy cow she just kept repeating that stuff the entire show for multiple games. She annoyed me far more.

Dream Daddy being on the list doesn't bother me at all. If it's short and on ps4 I may even try it. It's not my list so whatevs.
Abby was pretty bad at articulating her points throughout this entire podcast. "I think it's good. It's funny. It's fun. It's got great characters. It's engaging. It's good. Cuphead should be higher." She just said the same shit over and over. I hope she comes back next year more well prepared for this discussion and learns to let things go instead of harping on them forever.
Brad seemed to get snappy a couple times too. Dan was very reasonable (which was... something). Lastly, I kinda felt bad for Alex. He looked so defeated, but he sold me on Nier.
@opusofthemagnum: Completely agree about cultural appropriation. Do these people that bitch about this really just want everyone to stick to their own culture and everything just stagnate? Just because you use something from another culture doesn't make it wrong. It's how new cultures are created and others evolve.
I don't get all the complaining about Destiny 2. Looks great to me.
I loved AC Origins but didn't like Bayek much as a character. I guess he's ok, but he's no Ezio. I also really disliked Aya (I think that's her name. I may have already forgotten it) and thought she was completely dry and one dimensional.
@ripelivejam: he's probably just getting more comfortable with the job/crew/being on a live stream. I expect he'll start piping up more in a couple months.
