I just realized how broken the image submission system is. You get 1 point for every image you submit and an extra point for every extra gallery you attach it to. Now this seems fine on the outside but this can be very easily abused. Example: I spent HOURS on an article about Nosgoth and a bunch of Legacy of Kain game page. I got like 400 something points out of it. I was happy because it felt like I got a reward for something I put a lot of effort into and that I earned it. Then all my image submissions from Sunday went through this afternoon and I got almost 300 points from just the images I put up for 1 effing game. I mean cmon! I spent like 20 mins gathering those from my game folder and putting them up in a group upload. I only uploaded like a hundred images/screenshots and attached them to the appropiate galleries. I had NO IDEA that I would get so many points out of something so basic.

The whole process just makes the points from writing articles seem trivial. Anyone can just play the game for one hour, take a billion screenshots and upload them. WHOLA! 1000 points and you are free to write whatever rant you want inplace of a perfectly good article. Do it often enough and you can get to 5k points and start creating havoc with random pages. Beats the whole point of having a moderated environment and keeping things in line.

My recommendation is to limit the number to images you can upload in a day until you reach a certain points level. Make people work to get to a required point limit with good, solid articles and iinfo. Not useless screenshots of their characters moving 2 inches over the course of a hundred shots.

Is anyone else a fan of Simon's work ? He has one of those voices which is instantly recognizable in a crowd and gives me goosebumps every time I hear him in a game!

I found this outtake of Soul Reaver 2's voice sessions. Shows the brilliance of both Michael Bell and Simon Templeman. Simon is just plain scary here, his voice transforms Kain from a normal video game character into something much more sinister and haunting.

If you enjoyed a particular song on audiosurf and have the energy/resources to post a footage of it on youtube or something, I plead you to do so. I like watching other people's surf at work (or sometimes even class :P) so please go ahead folks, post some videos.

Heres a song I just uploaded:

Its Snyper by Hybrid (http://www.last.fm/music/Hybrid/_/Snyper)

I'm new to fraps and reencoding stuff so sorry for the poor quality of the video. :P

There have been rhythm games which utilize your own music before but the unique thing about Audiosurf is the puzzle element. Its not just a rhythm game, its also a really challenging puzzle game which is something most people don't realize. Trying to match all those blocks together at high speed is as much as fun as Tetris. I know its a bold statement but I really do think Audiosurf is an outstanding puzzle game. Too bad most reviewers or players don't take up on this point.

In Blood Omen, Kain is a new born (by Vampire standards). Vampires are ageless and thus "grow" over hundreds of years. The events in Soul Reaver take place almost 2000 years after Blood Omen and Kain has evolved over this time. Vampire evolution is one of the main concepts in Soul Reaver as all of Kain's lieutenant  have changed since Raziel was banished.

PS: There is a Legacy of Kain franchise page for this stuff actually. :P
