There's nothing particularly offensive about this place. It's fine. It's a chain restaurant that shows sports and you can get some okay wings and fries or whatever. It's not worth having much of an opinion about either way.
I think his job here is a lot like being a comedian, but without the pressure of expected laughs that comes with labeling your creative output as "comedy." He definitely has the comedian gene, and based on the PAX panels and the occasional daydreams of a Giant Bomb tour, he seems to like the live performance aspect of it. If he were to grind at open mics and put the hours in I'm guessing he could find some success. That's not to say he would be a shoe in for HBO specials and a sitcom deal or anything, but I think he has the building blocks to make a living as a working comedian (i.e. a feature act for a headliner).
Keep at it, Alex. I've had my own battles with anxiety over the years, and it's a struggle sometimes. I'll feel that little flutter of panic, take a deep breath, and hope that it passes. A lot of times that's all I need, but sometimes my brain takes off like a runaway train and won't settle. You can get into a cycle where you have anxiety about having anxiety, and it's hard to break that loop. Removing the pressure of keeping it a secret definitely helped limit those situations for me, and knowing there are successful people out there dealing with the same thing helps me too, so good on you for opening up.
I've seen it a few times and it's definitely a grower. Each time I see it I notice another little quirk that makes me laugh. Not to mention it's the best use of Mr. Mister's Broken Wings since Vice City.
