WWE's presentation, the camerawork and the announcing are the two main reasons I won't watch Raw weekly. Fuck dealing with that for 3 hours every Monday.

I think you should give Corey Graves a shot, dude's got real talent on NXT. He reminds me a bit of a modern day Bobby Heenan, but he's not above wearing his heart on his sleeve either. I think he might be the one guy that can actually turn the announcing on RAW around. I'd also highly recommend watching the Hulu 90 minute version. I haven't watched a 3 hour RAW in over 5 years and I'm a better man for it. During the brand split I really wanted them to just reduce RAW to 2 hours and give them even picks with Smackdown, but for whatever reason that 3 hour sloth just keeps on slothing.

Instant fan of TJ Perkins.

I like him too, but I kind of think he needs to tone it down just a hair. He's got great in-ring stuff, but I thought he was just a little too "busy" with all the twitchy dance moves and dabs. He's certainly got a future, I just wished he was a little less hyper.

And I really thought I'd see more chatter for the CWC stuff from last night. I thought this episode was damn near bullet proof, with one match in particular that kind of melted my brain a little bit.

Tajiri v Slater

Decent/hard hitting match, I've always liked Tajiri's kicks, and he didn't disappoint, but the outcome was pretty much inevitable. Tajiri had to win in order to elevate the guy who will eventually beat him. There's no scenario I can think of where Tajiri loses in the first round. Still, entertaining to see him do his stuff again.

Perkins v Mack

Fun match, lots of energy, but as I've said already, Perkins could maybe tone down his gimmick just a bit. Dude was probably super excited to be there, and has the charisma, I just think he could use a little more "show" and a little less "showboat".

Ali v Dorado

THIS MATCH! Holy shit this match might have been the best thing since God created turnbuckles! Another match where I didn't know either of these guys from dirt, but a match where I screamed "WTF!" at least 3 times. I have no idea what that move was called when they both came crashing down, off the top rope, from the corner, but I lost my damn mind. I need to watch that thing again. I loved both of these guys and really didn't see a weakness in either of them.

Johnson v Tozawa

I also thought this was a great match and hope that this might set the tone for what this tournament should be going forward. I looked at Johnson and thought there was no way he was going to touch Tozawa, but I was happily, happily surprised. The outcome was what I thought it would be, but the presentation was just top shelf stuff. The in ring work, and especially the commentary, really lifted this match up. Johnson maybe could have used a few seconds to sell some moves, but both guys told a heck of a story, along with the commentary, to help draw me in and make me believe that the match could go either way. A great finishing match and all four matches were something I'd gladly buy a ticket to watch. CWC might end up being something huge after all.

CWC?

I thought we ended up getting two pretty great matches and two humdrums.

Metalik/Saez was an okay opener. Loved Saez' shooting star press onto the floor.

Daivari/Lun was kind of not great, nothing stood out to me.

Alexander/Petiot was a match of the night contender. I thought both of these guys looked great, Alexander's back breaker looks legit painful.

Ibushi/Maluta was the other match where both guys looked great. I didn't know Maluta from dirt, besides the nearly botched corkscrew thingie over the top rope, they at least kept the match interesting (even if the ultimate outcome was written on the wall in Kanji).

Nice start to what I hope is a gradual elevation of better and better matches as the weeks go along.

Something I noticed during my fifth or sixth watching of The Final Deletion is that, during the final spot with the dirt pile and the burning Hardy pyre, it looks as if the sun is coming up in the background, which can only signify that the two of them fought all night.

At least that's what I'm telling myself in my mind canon.

This Final Deletion shit is fucking terrible. Anybody claiming that it has any sort of quality needs to stop being a contrarian piece of shit. It sucks.

With that said, everyone needs to watch it. It's amazing.

I agree to disagree.

The Hardys are pulling some Ultimate Warrior "kick down the cockpit doors" levels of perfection.

My fix for Roman Reigns is this:

Give him the month off, get rid of that stoopid super hero costume he calls ring attire, new theme song, and make him a Paul Heyman guy. Use what happened to Roman's advantage, give him a Brock Lesnar edge, a "man of few words" angle, and let Paul be the hype man. If that means heel, so be it.
