I think you can totally take The Vaudvillians into the next PPV against New Day, give Enzo some R&R, and have them interrupt the match at Extreme Rules, costing The Vaudvillians the match. The pop for Enzo and Cass would be HUGE and, let's face it, The Vaudvillians could use the push and extended feud much more than Enzo/Cass could.

How can a company, on one hand have a near perfect wrestling angel like NXT Takeover, and on the other hand, have a disformed wrestling Quasimodo like Wrestlemania?

With Cesaro out (which is beyond sad), my plan doesn't work as well, and I was only kidding a couple of weeks back, but I do think they could make something out of Sheamus if they built a faction around him and do it NOW. I was imagining a European faction of Sheamus, Barrett and Cesaro, maybe even Paige or Neville(?). Call it The "New" Authority or just rebrand The Nexus. I think if you built a faction around Sheamus, a faction designed to protect Sheamus and the title, with HHH's approval, you might have something. You have absolutely nothing if you have just Sheamus out there doing it all solo.

Break the emergency glass and debut Balor immediately. Push him to the main event and have him win the title. You need to take chances when you're down.

That's like throwing the poor innocent virgin girl into the volcano. How could you be so cruel?

I'll say it until it finally happens, but Reigns is in DESPERATE need of a gimmick reset.

This could be that moment. Take the mic away from him, drop the old Shield entrance, have him enlist the help of Paul Heyman, turn him into a Lesnar caliber killing machine, and build to Mania. The crowd would eat it up.

This Royal Rumble was truly the largest tire and trash fire I've ever been witness to. The only thing I thought was visually cool about it was Sheamus attacking Reigns as the confetti was still dropping. If it had been two wrestlers I gave even two turds worth of a care for, it would have been an EPIC moment, but it wasn't, and I'm afraid it never will be ever again.

Cesaro loses to Reigns, joins Barrett and Sheamus to form "New Day: Europe".

Vince comes out to declare that HHH has joined the tournament at the top tier, announcing him as the secret final boss.

Brie Bella screams "BRIE MODE!" and actually gets a response from the audience.

I haven't had much motivation to post my thoughts on the current WWE, but the recent Rollins injury, and the current wide open nature of the heavyweight scene makes me wonder, wouldn't it make more interesting sense if Ambrose turns heel at The Rumble and becomes the new heavy weight champ?

I say that because he's currently being portrayed as Reigns' shadow, a Reigns/Ambrose main event would be the one that everyone would want to see, and it would basically be as if Ambrose is taking the HHH deal that Reigns refused. I guess on an outside chance we could see someone like Cesaro take the deal, after his inevitable defeat to Reigns on Monday night, but for that to happen I would think they would have had Cesaro booked to go further in the tournament.

I don't know, but Reigns turning heel just doesn't sound that interesting to me. I think Reigns would be better as a heel, and Ambrose would be loved either way, but I think we'd get better main events and future storylines with a heel Ambrose (and his eventual turn against HHH and Stephanie). I also think that the longer they stretch out Reigns eventual title win, the more fans will accept it when it does happen. I think fans will eventually come around to Reigns (who's not my favorite, but I admit has wrestled some pretty fantastic matches post-Wrestlemania), I just wish the guy would never pick up a microphone for the rest of his career.

Considering that I stayed home on a Saturday night specifically to watch Takeover, and was not disappointed, versus being 99% sure I won't make it home tonight for Summer Slam, and being totally okay with that, is all that really needs to be said about my expectation for WWE proper.

The only two matches that I think will have the slightest chance of living up to something the caliber of the Bayley/Banks match, or the Balor/Owens match, are Cesaro/Owens and (I can't believe I'm actually hyped for this match) Cena/Rollins. The rest of the matches have nothing going for them. I like most of the guys in the Fatal 4 way tag match, but this should have just been a Prime Time/New Day match because that's what it's ultimately going to come down to.

I especially have no hope for the Lesnar/Undertaker match. The outcome is meaningless. Lesnar wins, he disappears, then reemerges in 2 months to go back to chasing the belt. Undertaker wins, he disappears to reappear at Wrestlemania to fight...? Kane? I think that the BEST outcome for this match is for Undertaker to win, but not cleanly, have Lesnar become so enraged that he demand the rubber match at Wrestlemania. So enraged that he offer to forfeit his previous defeat of Taker at Mania if he loses. Taker could win at Mania, cleanly, and finally announce his retirement. It won't happen, but it'd be cool.

Yeah, I have zero, zero faith that Summer Slam will be one third as good as what was presented at Takeover. The fans and the talent were way too high on one another last night. The closest WWE proper has gotten to that (lately) has been the Cena/Owens rivalry, with some sprinkles of Cesaro on the side.

Samoa Joe v whoever was boring to me. Don't have a history with Joe and I was disappointed to be honest.

I'm kind of in the same boat, but I really couldn't disagree more. I was indifferent about Joe and, up until this match, couldn't stand Baron Corbin at all. All of that changed during this match. I thought it was a really stellar match with a great back-and-forth pace. Lots of great power moves by both guys and a near perfect counter/finish. I REALLY liked this match. Maybe it didn't play as well live, versus the broadcast, but Joe and Corbin both showed a lot of heart and talent in this match.
