Is anyone else sorta surprised on how much action was shown in Picard?

Man, that falling down the hole track at the end of every level always put a smile on my face.

In my opinion, the time when this show should have been released has come and gone. Peak Halo fandom was between Halo 2 through Reach, and I think they missed the boat.

I love the Halo universe, and will probably end up watching it (I read most of the books, up through Harvest), but my honest first reaction to the announcement was a sentiment of "too little too late".

What is all of your biggest gripes about otherwise great games?

I was thinking about this earlier today while playing Skyrim. Now, just to preface, I love Skyrim - I have bought it several times over, and am currently on my billionth stealthy archer on the switch version.

Skyrim is freaking deserted. It's supposed to be a province in a huge country, but it probably has about, what, 500 people in it? The cities have 30 buildings? The scale of it is all off. I noticed it too in Oblivion, when the final climactic battle for all space and time occurs, and the troops mass by my side... all like, 7 of them.

I'm wondering what has thrown this idea into my brain, and I think the biggest culprit is that the Witcher 3 spoiled me with its grandiosity. All of that aside, still love the game (and series, really), but I do hope the next installment feels a bit bigger.

Ok guys, I played a little today (please excuse the short post for now, had a few beers and want to try and remain coherent) - This game feels like a Quake version of DoD: Source. The automatic weapons are quite jumpy on recoil for me, but I also am average at best at shooters. From what I can tell it has dedicated servers! Also, Snipers are super crazy; one shot kills from what I can tell.

Also, if you're like me and get a weird artifact/neon technicolor start screen, Alt+Enter the game window and it should resolve it.

Curious about peoples opinions/impressions as this game goes more and more public.

  • Is it comparatively fast paced to other modern shooters or slower?
  • How is the gun play/feel of the weapons?
  • How do you feel about the overall online play/netcode/hit registration?
  • Those who have played Day of Infamy or DoD:S, any direct comparisons?

Edit: Mine Grammar bad. Me fix it to be more gooder.

Subnautica. Holy shit does this game stress me out. Not only is it a deep, dark ocean where you can't see everything around you... it a freaking alien deep, dark ocean where you can't see anything around you. Needless to say, I play this game in 15-25 minute chunks.

@butano: I can't also give this game enough props. It's so much fun and really has a lot of flexibility for different scenarios the more people you play with. The expansion is kind of disappointing - a lot of the scenarios are really vague and their rules for the betrayer and survivors often contradict each other or even basic game rules...
