So I bought Painkiller: Hell & Damnation the other day as I have never played it on PC and the Collectors Edition on 360 seemed like a good deal (ok...a decent deal). It's a dumb shooter. I knew that before I put the disc in.
I have played 2 chapters and it's a fun, mindless game which was just what I needed after The Last Of Us. Now don't get me wrong, I don't expect the multiplayer to be worthwhile or something to sink your teeth into but I like to play, try or have the opportunity to test a component of a game when it is clearly there as an option on the main menu. The problem is that the multiplayer in Painkiller: Hell & Damnation does not work. At all. I have given it about a dozen chances to connect me to a game or someone but it never finds anything.
That is really poor because it isn't like I am going into this game years later when there would be very few people playing, but I am trying it on day one, day two and now day three. The weird thing is that the demo that came to Xbox Live a week or so ago lets users play single and multiplayer and when I checked the demo, multiplayer was working fine. It was working.
You might tell me that I am better off not being able to connect but seriously, is there anyone playing this online or trying to?
