Well, it's sure pokemon. Litten is pretty good. A cat that doesn't like water and has a name that's meme-worthy. Popplio seems pretty ok in a world where chandelier pokemonz exist.
As excited as I'd like to be, this pretty much looks like X&Y. I made it about 75% through X/Y, then 75% through Omega/Alpha. Maybe on new hardware they can do a redesign on a significant level. It seems like it'd be worth expanding on a formula from 1996. Otherwise, I'd rather just play Ruby on the GBA again.

Gotta say you missed the best/dumbest part -- you can get swallowed up by the salamander thing and woosh around in its stomach (shootin' it up)! You could grapple all over the thing.
They actually did a Quick Look of this demo 7 years ago, and Jeff demonstrated going inside the stomach and grappling onto its back.

Screw the haters! Im still happy to be seeing this through to the end. (and enjoying it) It'd have been a shame to let this series fizzle out after surviving every other entry --not that I haven't had my moments of frustration watching Vin particular.

It seems like a lot of the unfinished feeling missions in Act 2 aren't Kojima directed/by in the credits, if I remember correctly. I'd wager the kid collecting may be the same, even though the side ops don't show credits. They're so filler-y, and would have served the same story function as just collecting them all in one mission. So inconsiderate of your time. I wish Act 2 had just been structured: Numbered Mission>Cutscene>Numbered Mission>Cutscene. It isn't like the game was too short; it just needed to get to the conclusion.
@surfincoffin: You can "develop" the XOF fatigues she wears in the prologue for her to wear.
right, but those don't make sense within the "she'll die if not naked" lore. I guess these things are silly to complain about when you can also make her gold.
Man, I had so much more trouble with that cargo container mission and the film canister... weird. I guess sometimes the rocket launcher approach really is most efficient! Glad things are progressing smoothly again :) Lots of exposition!
The distrust and torture of Quiet just gets more shitty the more I revisit those elements. I guess its just Miller being an angry violent loose cannon, but I'm not sure why Venom and Ocelot just go along implicit. Because Ocelot likes torture so much, I guess? Venom doesn't have any objections even though she's been 100% loyal, saving his life and covering him on the majority of the missions through the game, fighting Sahelanthropus, Skull Face, etc..? Alright. The plot demands it.
Also, couldn't they maybe work on developing some more equipment for Quiet? Or at least get her some stockings that aren't ripped? It sure seems like they'd have been ripped to shreds running at high speed up those Afghan mountains n such. A camo kevlar bikini at the very least? What about the child soldiers? They're all just wearing exactly what they came in with? Maybe some Diamond Dogs fatigues? They made a horse mask and a wolf knife.
I suppose it's better experienced suspending disbelief. It's kind of an Anime. I really love MGSV, but the story and structure feel so unrefined. What could have been...
