Looks like my previous theory on your GS account was off-center; he wasn't messing with you, he actually thought you'd play it. Would you at least go back to Dante's Inferno every once in a while? You may need to kill some hell demons just to let off some steam every now and then.

Odds are I'll get the PS3 version for my birthday in early April, 'cause I've always had a weird semi-flirtation with the FF series: it's a series I'll play, but not necessarily buy at full price. We'll see in a few months.

I didn't realize PS3 games came in French-only. I live in Quebec too but every current-gen game I've bought has been at least bilingual. What's your PS3's internal language set to?

5) Never played a GTA game and don't own a 360.
4) Maybe, I'll likely rent it first.
3) Don't own a Wii but have told Wii-owning friends to buy it.
2) Demo was fun; will likely rent or borrow, not so sure about the meshing of genres.
1) Never played a R&C game, but I can still be won over.

I use one for chatting and lengthy PMs. Two things about it:

1) Don't bother keeping it mounted on your Dualshock, it's much more difficult to press buttons like that.
2) Try buying one secondhand. I got mine as a gift but I see them go for $40 brand-new, which is insane and also double the price of a USB keyboard that can arguably do the exactly same thing.

Red Octane created Guitar Hero and had Harmonix develop it, not the other way around.

Taking this in another direction, does anyone know what the supposed typo was that delayed the PS3 version?

Doesn't the 40GB PS3 not have Wi-Fi built in? That's pretty lousy, go for the Slim.

I apologize in advance if this appears to be just another "help plz" thread, but I'd appreciate any help.

Okay, here's my "dilemma":

I've held off on a "new" (note to self: welcome to 2006) console for a few years because I simply couldn't afford one, but I've been leaning towards a PS3: I wanna play MGS4, I bought Rock Band on PS2 so my controllers would be forward-compatible and when I asked for a wireless headset for Christmas I got the point across that it was to be Bluetooth so it could be PS3 compatible. However, Sony still hasn't grasped that "starting at $399" is NOT a good idea. Couple Resident Evil 5's imminent release (and its latest trailer) with a desire to finally "catch up" and to not to have to spend ridiculously beyond my means (or family members, my birthday is coming up soon) and I realize the 360 is the way to go, despite all the hardware issues I read about on a daily basis. I have questions:

1) How upgradeable is the Core/Arcade? Is there a fundamental hardware difference between it and the Pro, or is it, as I've read elsewhere, just a Pro with a missing hard drive and different connector wires? (I have only a standard-def TV at the moment.)

2) Resident Evil 5, Call of Duty 4/World at War, Halo 3, Fallout 3, NHL 09/'10, Rock Band 2 (if I can sell/trade my PS3 instruments), maybe Gears of War and Soul Calibur IV: alright wishlist?

3) Is a hard drive required for XBL? Or to be clearer, do I still get a gamer tag, gamerscore and all the other silly but fun B.S. if I only have an Arcade and XBL Silver? I know that DLC and online multiplayer need Gold.

4) Does one model of 360 (Arcade/Pro/Elite) tend to fail more often than any of the others?

5) Is the Arcade's flash memory removable like a memory unit or is it ingrained into the system?

6) What's the maximum length of time I should spend on one play session if I'm truly concerned about the RRoD?

I know I could find answers to all of this without asking here, and I'm sorry again if there are a million of these topics already, but thanks anyway for any and all help.
