I don't play the game myself but I follow some of the more in-depth Youtubers that cover the game and apparently there's some issues with the aim assist right now. It will actively push your crosshairs away from enemies in some circumstances which might be contributing to the game feeling off.

I really like Lockdown, it brings out some of my favourite parts about Giant Bomb that don't really shine through as often in Quick Looks or Unfinisheds. It's nice seeing them go deeper into games rather than just showing off a vertical slice, and it's also nice to see them talk more casually, joke around and discover stuff. Quick Looks have their purpose, but I personally don't enjoy it when they go too heavy into explaining systems and showing off menues. I feel like some Quick Looks start with a good twenty minutes of just menues and explanations when I'd rather they just play the game and talk with eachother or chat, and explain things as they come up in gameplay.

I miss some of their weirder content like Steal Your Sunshine or Mario Party Party though, but that can't be helped what with the pandemic and all.

If someone ever gets Square Enix to spill the beans on what exactly happened with FF Versus XIII/FFXV it'll make for one hell of a documentary. There are so many cool ideas put into the game but they just kind of never come together into nice, cohesive whole. It all reeks of what must've been a very messy, confused development period.

@arbitrarywater: I'm not big into CRPGs (I think the only proper ones I've actually finished are Fallout 1 and 2) but I came away from Outer Worlds with largely the same take as you. Maybe I had the wrong expectations going into it, but I thought this game was going to lean a lot heavier on dialogue than it actually did. Like, I was kind of disappointed with how short and to the point a lot of it ended up being, and being able to "solve" a lot of it with just one or two clearly marked speech checks. Maybe it's not fair to expect from an open world FPS/RPG, but I was really hoping for something that cut a little closer to a Telltale game, with proper risks to what you choose to say or not say.

I like them both! I'd have a beer with Dogi and buy a body pillow of Adol.

Still no news of the Switch version, other than that it's coming "much later". At this point I feel like they better either have a third visual style going for that version or else what the hell is taking them so long? Especially when the Switch is pretty in the zeitgeist right now.

Team Fortress 2 and World of Warcraft got pretty close, but the first game I actually popped 1000 hours on was War Thunder. Between the hundreds of vehicles available, the variety between them and the constant updates I can easily see myself going for 2000 hours.

I decided to get back into Crusader Kings 2 after a long time away from it and murdering my way through my family to make sure the right kid is heir and that there aren't any claimants to start factions around is as fun as ever. I'm going for a Pictish empire consisting of all of the British Isles.

I also just started Xenoblade 2 a few days ago and it has an incredibly hype first chapter. Haven't gotten super into the combat and leveling yet, but there seems to be a fair amount to stuff to bite into there. Nia seems like a pretty cool character.

I'll totally give it a try for nostalgias sake but I kind of doubt I'll stick with it beyond the first month, my tolerance for running dungeons/raids days on end isn't the same as it was in 2006-2009. I'm totally looking forward to leveling up a character ye olde way (aka very carefully) and running some classic dungeons like SFK, SM and BRD again though.
