So it's okay for you to give your opinion, but not for us to give ours?

I'm grinding out weapon kills right now, but usually I prefer the Selker support with a MG of some kind (Shredder, but I'm thinking of trying Razor of the Gods) and a slug shotty of some kind.  Selker gets 2x Heavy and 2x Light weapon slots which is preferable if you can convince the heavier guys to take care of the support emplacements.  There's only so many of those you need, but you'll usually only have 1-2 people who can drop heavy emplacements.

Selker  (w/ HOT PANTS!, but I'm considering going quad since I almost never use the boost)
Weapons: MG/Shotgun
Emplacements: Flak, MG, Sniper, Mine

It sounds like you might be confusing "inspired" with "novel."  While Trenched might not be as novel as Double Fine's previous XBLA titles, it is still an inspired game.  In my book, taking the same old thing and finding a way to do it in a fresh, new, exciting way is quite inspired.  Arguably even more so than simply coming up with a quirky new title because you have to be able to see and fight through all the existing tropes.  The Trenched team did a fantastic job, and the result, if nothing else, is inspired.

I was having trouble connecting because of my NAT settings on my wireless router.  It's fixed now, but it was very frustrating for a while there.

This trailer made the game look completely derivative.  A little bit of Gears, a little bit of Halo, a lot of HL2.  The animations are dull, designs are a mixed bag, and the setting is jarring in a bad way.  It's just a trailer, so who knows what the finished product will look like a year from now.  Let's hope they innovate a bit in the meantime, or that they've already created some innovative features that they felt, for whatever reason, they needed to hold back from showcasing.

Im from 2002 and this looks great.
I hear XBLA games should be held to the same standard as AAA games.  C/D?

im sorry but i dont believe anything Molyneux says any more.

Pretty much the reason I won't even download the demo of Fable III, much less buy it.  It's also how I figured Kinect software was going to be pretty worthless.  When you see the speaker is Peter Molyneaux that's a giant red flag that you're listening to a steaming pile of bullshit.

+1 for the "Was Unimpressed at First but Now Excited About It" crowd.

Where the fuck is Trenched? I sure hope it gets out before the summer of arcade starts. holding it until after would be Balls!

I don't know how it all works, but Trenched releases a month before this promotion starts.  Is that relevant?
