I totally understand the situation means things need to be done a little different. That said I'm not really a fan of any of the solo content, It just doesn't work as well as the great interactions we get between everyone.
I don't mind if the audio quality goes down or if they occasionally step on each other because of audio delay, the back and forth ends up far more interesting then any one persons monologue.
I'm still not happy with the plans for improvement, I really feel the issues @wemmick has committed to working on are only some of the more minor issues and ignore the major usability concerns. I am willing to admit i could end up being wrong and frankly i hope i will be. I know @wemmick and the rest of the staff are doing their best for us and want as many people to be happy with the site as possible but meanwhile it would be hypocritical of me to continue my subscription, so sadly i'll be waiting for some serious improvements before I re-subscribe.
New issue :P I noticed the latest (displayed as a grid) isn't showing the 2 latest video features. Yesterday it wasn't showing the super smash brothers quick look and today it's also missing the unprofessional Friday. Yesterday I thought the bug may be caused by the missing video showing as the days header but today it's both new videos so that theory is shot :)
I'm curious about what changes are off the table at this point? Some people are still complaining about the white theme being gone, for example, and it might be helpful to make a final post that it's not coming back. Personally, I find everything way too large, so I would also like to know if that's just how it is so I can change my bookmark to https://www.giantbomb.com/videos/ and accept that the homepage is not designed for people like me. I might miss new stuff that's not video and I liked the Upcoming and Twitter feeds, but there's no other page that I know of that contains most of the stuff i'm interested in without scrolling down a lot.
This please, let us know if we're wasting our time with our feedback/requests.

Seems another update to the site has broken much of the functionality for me again today. Mini header still works but pretty much everything else seems like it doesnt.
must be frustrating to keep fixing :P take your time and I appreciate the hard work.
Edit* and the next morning it seems to be working perfectly again. either a temporary bug or very fast fix from you :)
2nd Edit* Now it's back to not working again, strange intermittent bug.
I guess they updated something with the page, but now popular videos are showing before my "display latest as grid" despite being toggled off. Also the popular carousal can not be moved at all.
We had an answer to this all this time in the light theme, so it's never been a problem to voice concern over, but now that it's been taken away it's a problem. If the site was only video it may not even be that big a deal, but since 2/3 of the site is text based (wiki and forum) it needs to be addressed.
Well said and a perfect example of where my eye strain is coming from. Your right hand mock-up mostly solves my problems with the dark theme, though I would probably still prefer light on my desktop pc.
That looks great! Devs if you're watching that screenshot is what a front page should look like.
Question/request: EDIT! found it, you did the thing i was going to ask for and allowed me to shrink (Emsmallen i love it) the header.
2nd request in that case, I don't see coming up on giant bomb any more, i would like that to take up the side of the screen where the header is now so they share that space, if that isnt coming back due to the redesign (boo) then i'd like to put the staff tweets there.
ps- any black magic you can do to bring back the meta info from the cards? like "posted by Jan Ochoa" or by "Abby Russell"?

I was nearly motivated to learn whatever language i would have had to to make an extension myself. I'm almost disappointed i don't have to now, but you did so much better then i ever could have.
