Battlefield 1 looks fantastic big urban infantry focused maps with alot of the feature creep from BF4 thrown away I couldn't ask for anything more. Titanfall 2 however is still COD in a new skin which is everything I hate in a shooter I'll pass on the sequel again.

@joe_mccallister: Considering the Scorpio is going to be a small subset of an even smaller subset, how much time/money will developers spend? If Neo can do 1080/60 reliably isn't the Scorpio's extra power overkill unless you own a 4K TV. I have a hard time seeing a games being 1080/30 on the standard PS4/XB1 and 1080/60 on the Neo/Scorpio much quicker/cheaper to just have slightly better IQ, games can be more or less identical across both platform so it doesn't look like your selling a gimped version for standard owners.

@cyberbloke: Not showing Neo at E3 doesn't mean it won't release this year, Sony will spend alot of time on VR with Gamescom and Paris Games Week to come. Better spec's won't make any difference it'll just have a higher price, the whole point is to launch Neo first because their ontop killing Scorpio's momentum before it even starts.

Since when did younger fans turn into kids/minors I wish peolpe would stop using click bait headlines. Considering alot peoples reaction to WW1 is its just trench warfare = no fun EA hesitation is understandable. WW1 is rarely seen in media and doesn't get taught in a real depth in school.

I think the NX is going to be the Wii U 2 at the PS4/XB1 power level using x86 without backwards compatibility there will be no EA games at launch. Nintendo will port Splatoon & Mario Maker with added DLC, there will be a new Pikman and numbered Mario title at launch. The NX will have a long staggered launch between regions starting with Japan first also guessing it will play Nintendo's handheld / mobiles games but the NX won't be a portable game console.

I think it's pointless and is just opening the doors for console manufacturers to start iterating on their hardware mid cycle. Like I stated in other threads, the games we are playing right now don't need to necessarily look better to play better - they just need to be better games period. No one in the past 2 years has said "man, this would be a 5/5 if only the textures were sharper!" Quantum Break didn't get a low score from Jeff or GameSpot because it looked or performed bad, it got a low score because it was your run of the mill shooter with some time abilities thrown in. A higher resolution wouldn't have made that game better.

Just recently I was thinking of maybe finishing up the upgrades on my PC but then I saw that it would cost me around $600-700 and thought man that is quite a lot. Despite what people keep trying to tell you, assembling a PC that will run modern games at 60FPS on high settings still costs a significant amount of money. But man, between getting spending $400 (lord willing) on a slightly better PS4 or spending $700 and bringing my PC up to snuff I'd rather invest that money in the PC. This is a great move for Sony and a terrible move for console gamers everywhere and quite frankly I'm surprised the Bombcast took it in stride like this isn't going to open up a whole bunch of shitty doors that will make consumers have to spend twice as much without getting all that much in return. The argument that all the games are going to still work on your old PS4 falls flat when now you know that you're always going to be getting the inferior experience. Console gamers used to not care because there was no other option, we all got the inferior experience when compared to the PC. When now you're getting the inferior experience to other PS4 users thats a whole different situation.

Your two points are a contradiction if the PS4K won't make be a better experience how is the standard version going to be worse. If you didn't have the N64 RAM expansion you had the lsser version of the game, not having the Mega CD ment losing out on CD quality sound, the original X360 didn't have HD port, both PS3/X360 installed games to the HDD and sold models with not eought space or none at all with poorer load times and texture pop in. Developers might not even use the extra power it could be the same game with better AA.

@falconer: If you don't know why there's this imagined beef then you don't know if it's shitty or not.

Supergiant doesn't put their games out on Xbox anymore, a platform that they formed their fanbase on and found success on. There has been no explanation as to why. That's the definition of a shit situation.

Supergiant Games quote from the Bastion PS4/Vita announcement.

Q: Does this mean/Is there any chance Bastion and/or Transistor will be coming to/will never come to insert_platform_here?

We often get various permutations of this question, and our answer is always the same: We have no plans for other versions of the game at this time, though we haven't ruled anything out for the future. The best way to keep up with the latest news about our studio is to follow @SupergiantGames on Twitter.

Today's announcement of Bastion for the PS4 and Vita is a good example of what we mean by "haven't ruled anything out for the future", as we wouldn't have considered something like this if not for Transistor's success on the PS4 following its launch in May of this year. For better or worse, bringing a game to a new platform tends to be challenging and costly, especially when you factor in what else you could have done in the same amount of time. So, we need to weigh these choices very carefully, especially since we're a small team. That said, we do appreciate hearing from folks who'd like to see our games on other platforms, and surely Bastion wouldn't have come to as many different platforms otherwise.

@_mattallica: Yeah that's the point QB was initially scheduled for release in Feb 2014, so MS putting pressure on Remedy line was a bit odd.
