I played Resistance 1 and F.U.S.E. recently... them games feel SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO archaic. Resistance 1 has an excuse, but MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN... F.U.S.E. sucked. I'm not sure I care much for insomniac anymore. They've made a couple of games so bad, they keep me up at night. PUN!

People enjoy it. Simple as that. People like the characters, writing, songs, and overall humor. And if you don't, that's fine. You gave it a shot and you don't see the appeal that others do. Doesn't mean you have to.

the songs are actually some of the few things i liked about the show they where catchy and good fun to listen to

and ill admit some of the humor is funny (mainly perry and doofs scenes good they act like a married couple sometimes XD)

but compared to comedy toons like courage, invader zim, regular show, rockos modern life etc they do comedy so much better

People see this show as one of the better modern cartoons that both kids and adults will love but i dont see why

the show is really repetitive and to formulaic, the characters are unmemorable, the animation is bad and i just didn't find it that funny

to me there are better cartoons out there for all ages (like courage the cowardly dog or invader zim for examples) maybe there's something im missing i dunno

so what is the appeal to Phineas and ferb and what makes it have its older audience?

Best : Perhaps Witcher 2 or maybe a Mass Effect (Haven't played 3 and only played 2 once, although it was great I can barely remember it, played 1 loads and loved it.) Skyrim would be up there too, despite me being kinda burnt out on the Bethesda formula.

Mediocre : Tales of Graces. Those awful dungeons where you went through the same corridors over and over and over. Worst Tales I'd played (Still great combat though). Final Fantasy XIII, not absolutely awful if you don't look at square's pedigree from long ago, but still a pretty looking chore.

you do know rpgs can be enjoyed for the battle system over story right -.-

I may have to give that a shot. That's comes on WKC 2 right?

yeah it does its suposed to fix the problems the first game made

the game already has divided reviews to begin with (some love it some hate it) so the remastered version might be the way to go

I mean what is considered Gen 7? Games released specifically on Xbox 360, PSP and PS3 or games released from 2005-2013? I'm just gonna make my list off the former. Also I wouldn't classify FF XI since its original release was prior to the launch of Xbox 360. I would say the 360 version is a pretty terrible port but not a Gen 7 game.

Best:

Mass Effect

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Dragon Age

Final Fantasy XIII purely for the combat system

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy

Mediocre:

Final Fantasy XIII-2

Dragon's Dogma

Worst:

Two Worlds

Fallout 3 (I hate everything about this game and I don't know why).

White Knight Chronicles

the remastered version of wkc is playable

So one thing I got out of this thread is I apparently really enjoy RPGs that others think are terrible or mediocre. I actually loved Blue Dragon and enjoyed my time with Ni No Kuni, Enchanted Arms, and even Two Worlds.

ill admit blue dragon does have its momments XD kinda like a kids persona since you controll a shadow kinda like how persona did

@daveyo520: Regarding your Dragon Age question, I listed it as the worst because it's unimaginative. It does nothing new in terms of Fantasy, as everything is just a very basic and simplified high fantasy setting with nothing unique. It was just a really slow slog with predictable story and pretty boring combat. That's why I listed it as one of my worst. I, to this day, can't understand why it's so highly praised.

Dragon Age Origin's high fantasy world is as generic as Mass Effect's sci-fi world, really, but both have writing that ranges from decent to pretty good. In the case of DAO, at least a portion of the fanbase loves it because it's essentially what WRPG's would have been if the late 90's/early 2000's DnD inspired RPG's had become popular enough to get a bigger-budgeted release, with 3D graphics and proper voice acting and all the other frills that budgets and extra computing power allow for.

I know that ME is also generic, but personally I don't find generic Fantasy interesting because I see it a lot more than generic Sci Fi. Sure these things have mostly been done before in Sci Fi but to me they just had a better grasp of the world in terms of creating really cool races, motivations for characters, beautiful areas, music, etc. Saren and Sovereign were two of the greatest villains I've ever fought against, and you can make him commit suicide for crying out loud. I just feel that to me, the Mass Effect universe has so much more detail, whereas Dragon Age could have easily been a preset D&D campaign or something.

Plus, I found the combat boooring. Flemeth was the only real challenge the game offered and even that was only because I upped the difficulty.

Well, I mean, Mass Effect on Normal is pretty easy too. It seems like you just like sci-fi way more than fantasy.

My feelings on Dragon Age Origins fluctuate wildly. I really like some parts of that game (saving Arl Eamon, for instance, provided you skip the Fade) but I am totally bored by the stuff going on in the Dwarven city. My last save was in the caves while going to save some important dwarf lady and I just stopped having any measure of fun when playing that section of the game, so I've put it down. That said, I do understand why people like it so much. I'd like to finish it someday.

i dont care about mass effect anyway so yeah XD
