I wasn't even aware of this game's existence until I started hearing about all the negativity and outrage from the playerbase. Good grief. I will be staying as far away as possible from this trainwreck.
The most interesting thing about lists like these are how completely random they can be. Didn't think you were the type to enjoy a game like Conker, but apparently you are. I'm glad I got away from LoL, that game did nothing but eat up all my spare time. At this point, I don't think I would ever willingly go back to it, as much as I loved it. And I never even played it with friends.
If I decide to do any GOTY list this year this is the only possible type of list I could make that has any value (even if making it is mostly for my own amusement).
I never even finished the campaign in vanilla Heroes 4, much less any of the expansions. I hadn't seen any screenshots of said game for a long time, but in my mind it looked much better than that. Did it really look that terrible or is that just a very unflattering screenshot?
I'm definitely interested in this game, and I feel like a bad person for waiting until it hits 75% off on Steam...which will most likely be during the upcoming Christmas sale.
No need to feel bad about it. Everything released under the Painkiller name after the first expansion pack has been pretty shoddy. I'll probably do the same and wait for a good sale, if only to make my Painkiller collection on Steam complete again...
Stalker is the most recent one I can remember. Although that might just as well be me being apprehensive of the game's horror elements, and dreading to continue playing it.
If by "modern music" you mean mainstream music, then yes, I would probably agree with that notion.
If by "modern music" you mean anything that's recent, but not necessarily popular or well known, then no. There's plenty of amazing contemporary bands and artists in the genres I enjoy.
