@the_tribunal: Oh man, you may have just completely ruined this game for me. Was not even thinking in those terms until you compared the art style to mobile game stuff.
@strathy: So part of the reason I'm really into this is because you can do asynchronous online play. Basically you take a turn and then it messages your move to the account with whom you are playing!
@the_tribunal: What specifically did you not like about the art style? I've played quite a bit of Civ games, and part of the reason I liked this was the fact that it had the armies go into a separate battlefield where they were actually to scale, instead of fighitng while being giant sized on the world map.
Just bought this + the two expansions (which I only picked up because a good friend of mine told me that the expansions make the game much more balanced to play) off the current steam sale for them. I have only put in a few hours so far, so I'm nowhere near the level I want to be at to play online, but it would be great to have people a group to play with sometime soon!
I remember somebody posting about it on the forums a couple weeks ago, but can't find it anymore. If I remember correctly, it was on youtube? It took you through the whole development process, going all the way up to "how to release your game" or something like that. Also, this is my first forum post ever, so sorry if I've made some mistake with where/how I'm posting this.
Edit: Ok, I remember this post saying that the last video of the series had been finished and uploaded recently, not that the whole series had just been released recently.
