I'm always excited for more Halo. I'm a big fan of the Halo storyline (in addition to the topnotch gameplay, of course) and am hoping 343 can take it in interesting new directions. Halo: Reach was fantastic--the highlight of the series for me, behind only Halo 2's amazing multiplayer--so 343 has to put out one hell of a game.

Dishonored looks great. I loved Deus Ex: Human Revolution last year, so Dishonored--which looks like a different take on the same basic gameplay concept--has me intrigued. I hope developer Arkane Studios can pull it off.

Dust 514 sounds interesting, but I'm not sure it will be a good game. I'm sorry, but if the shooting itself isn't any good, I'll go back to playing Halo. Lost Planet 3 looks terrible, just like the other two. It also comes from a terrible developer, so I expect terrible things.

Star Wars 1313 looked great, but I'm not super impressed by the graphics. Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 on PC are both of similar graphical prowess, in my opinion. Watch Dogs didn't look like a next-gen game; I was surprised to hear that it was.

The Last of Us looks and sounds incredible. I think I'm in love.

Reunited and it feels so good. Well, at least, I hope it feels good, especially for Mr. Gerstmann and Mr. Navarro (who are formerly of GameSpot). We'll finally be hearing about the story behind Jeff's termination!

I got an email about Battlefield 3 that was very similar to this. It hasn't even been that long since I've played Battlefield, either. Battlefield 3 has sold 10 million copies, too, so I don't think this email reflects poorly on the status of The Old Republic right now.

Dragon Age II had good combat that improved upon the original's, but everything else about it was dumbed-down to the point of being terrible. The ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection is amazing; how can you possibly beat $40 for the best looking and best playing versions of two of the greatest games of all time?

As for The Witcher 2--I think it's a tad bit overrated, particularly the story/setting. It's very much The Lord of the Rings with more sex and a bit more violence. As far as it being hard to get into--yeah, a bit. The tutorial (I played version 2.0 of the game) scared the heck out of me by throwing the entire combat system at me at once, but once you actually get into the game proper it's a bit more simplistic since you don't start out with a million different traps, potions, and combat abilities. The game is tough overall, but I was playing it at the same time as Dark Souls and let me tell you this--the hardest part of The Witcher 2 is easier than the opening hours of Dark Souls, plus The Witcher 2 does a better job of explaining the game's systems than Dark Souls does. The Witcher 2 is actually a very polished and well-made game considering it comes from a small European developer.
