That fucking Play Magazine review is what convinced me to buy this piece of trash. The editor, Dave Halverson, had tastes similar to mine, so when he was the lone voice of positivity while the rest of the world was shitting all over Sonic 2k6, I trusted that he would not lead me astray. I was absolutely stunned by how terrible this game is. It's like Sonic Team sold their alpha code as a retail product. I never read Play Magazine again.

I don't know if I need this bit/series to continue. I think that the staff has seen what they need to see and should move on with their lives. The game doesn't deserve any more attention.

Kinda nice to hear some non-gamer folks praising Sonic Adventure 2's soundtrack. People in games media at the time would always talk shit about the "butt rock" or whatever and it came off as lame attempts to seem cool.

If you get angry about people enjoying and talking about a game they like whenever they feel like talking about it then you deserve to be angry. Enjoy your weird, pathetic fury.

lol this. Getting angry is a choice. This is like when people get legit upset when wrestling comes up. If you want to be angry at people enjoying Fortnite (or anything, really), then Godspeed and have . . . fun?

I will never play Fortnite, but it's kind of fun to watch because of just how batshit nonsensical it is. I do find it hilarious that it took GB about a full year to get a single win in PUBG but in Fortnite they've got two victories under their belt by their second outing.

Also: I don't think that there's anything wrong with dropping a F2P game some dough if you're enjoying it. I never felt bad about throwing cash in the direction of Marvel Heroes, Genshin Impact, or Multiversus.

I haven't been watching any wrestling since the beginning of the year and that's been awesome (because of how much of a time sink it became) but all of the shit going on in WWE behind the scenes makes me want to start up again. Well, sort of. I think that I get most of what I want/need by just reading about it and hearing people's opinions.

The connection issues with this game are a bummer, but story mode specifically is so inconsequential that it's not that big of a deal. They should probably try to fix it, though.

Loving the game. I beat it but could see myself just loading it up for a few minutes to knock some baddies around for years to come.

Maybe I'm dumb, but I'm cool with staying subscribed to premium just to show my support. I do that with the other guys who have splintered off from here, too. 50-60 bucks a year isn't asking too much, IMO, considering how much entertainment I get. I highly doubt that I'll upgrade to a higher tier, but, hey, maybe they'll come up with a perk that really speaks to me.

Also, yeah. Fuck discord. Although, I could simply be too lazy to learn how to use it. I started using it to play DnD with some friends and my eyes glazed over when I looked at it and then I got a headache.

I don't know how anybody could walk away from this video and not be excited, especially with Gerstmann dropping a Patreon the same day. The circumstances of his exit are weird, yes, but I'm choosing to believe that there is no bad blood over it. He'll be totally rad at his solo venture and the new GB seems poised to keep this place awesome.

This seemed inevitable after the staff had a chuckle over Jeff's possible departure during one of the Reel Layers videos. Anyway, best of luck to Jeff and Giant Bomb as a whole. I'm curious to see where everyone lands. I'll stick around here to see what's next for the site, and I'll support Jeff if he decides to talk into a microphone about video games somewhere else.

Whatever happens next, I'd just like to say that I appreciate the immeasurable amount of entertainment that Jeff Gerstmann provided to me.

Man, that movie conversation in the beginning. You certainly have to know what you're getting yourself into and what your tolerances are when you decide to go to a theatre.

I'm kind of in the middle, I guess? Yes, we're here to watch the movie, so let's pay attention, be quiet, and watch the movie. HOWEVER, it is also extremely fun to have a "shared experience" with like-minded people. Opening night Infinity War with a theatre full of comic fans was great. Granted, the most out of the ordinary theatre behavior displayed was a roar of applause whenever a new character entered the fray. Resurrection F and Super Broly in theatres full of hyped-up Dragon Ball nutjobs were amazing experiences. I really haven't wound up in any bad audiences. Maybe some light talking or a phone screen on briefly? It sucks but isn't the end of the world.

I guess that the distinction would be whether people are reacting/responding to something from the film that is attempting to evoke a response or actively disrupting it at random.
