I don't know why but the Mr. Do running gag always cracks me up.

I bought a 32X just for Knuckles' Chaotix at a Toys R' Us during their "Boy this thing sure didn't catch on" fire sale for like 30 bucks total back in the day. Chaotix is a game that I wish someone would slap onto one of the various Sonic game collections that Sega loves to put out periodically. It's certainly weird, but I wouldn't call it bad. The rubberband thing is pretty cool and fun once you get the hang of it.

The 32X, though . . . what a dumb thing.

No meta-video depicting a distraught Jeff Bakalar and Jeff Gerstman talking to and confused by an oblivious Janina Gavankar about her "art?" Disappointing!

This was fun. Would love to see some GB alumni show up for the next season.

This series has really shown me how much we don't remember about all of the games that we've played.

@janman

You should totally rip off VGCW but with current and former Giant Bomb staff for a new feature. Nobody wants to play these games, but watching the AI bump into itself as it masquerades as familiar faces is always good for a laugh.

I live in Arizona where we collectively say "Fuck daylight saving." I work nights and during the winter I wake up in the evening to get ready for work under the cover of darkness and when I get off work in the morning to drive home it's still dark, and when I make it home it is, again, still dark. I fucking love it and would have it year round but I suppose that that is the sort of thing that daylight saving is supposed to prevent.

On the one hand, I've never had any interest in playing one of these games. Flipside, it is pretty cool that a match in the game looks that much like what you'd see on television, and I'm sort of into the novelty of seeing someone like Scott Hall in his prime wrestling Finn Balor. For the first time ever, I think that I understand the appeal.

I like this video, although I did listen to it more than I watched it because I want to be surprised when I play Elden Ring for myself.

Nextlander has been doing a thing, whether conscience of it or not I'm not sure, where the three of them go off to play a game, hopefully to completion, so that they can ALL talk about it together. They did it with FF7 Remake and Resident Evil Village. This prevents the age-old Giant Bomb thing of one person talking at everyone else about a game that they're playing and/or enjoying and hoping that the rest of the team has interesting questions to ask about the experience, but what often happens is one or two people chime and the others may very well have left the room. It's why the BotW and Phantom Pain-centric podcasts are some of my favorites. Granted, I'm aware that it takes special games with universal appeal for this kind of content to exist.

The comments section for Reel Layers continues to be such a nightmare that I'm convinced that the entire Giant Bomb community is in on the joke and playing along with it purely for my sole entertainment.

Because it would be super sad if these comments were sincere.

I'm not saying that pissing off your fanbase is a good idea, but the vitriol is certainly my favorite part of this whole thing.

I know that they aren't the words of Jeff Gerstmann directly, but hearing him say that Sonic Frontiers has shown very well behind the scenes and is "impressive" is extremely encouraging. It would be super nice if the game looked like a Sonic game, though.
