FYI, this error from a month and a half ago just popped up again for me as of today. Seems like maybe there's less lag when it happens, but it "reloads" the page after a few seconds and the formatting is messed up in a similar way.

Not sure if you pushed some changes last night or this morning, but in addition to the "watched videos" problem I mentioned previously, I just started having a much bigger problem: any time I go to any page on the site, 3 seconds later the page freezes for a second and loads back to a jacked up version of the front page of the site.

It looks normal until I scroll down to where the bottom of the front page should be, at which point it offsets to the right and appears to repeat itself:

At the bottom of that, it has another page loaded without the offset, then it has another full page loaded offset to the right again, and then a 5th page below that without the offset, and then it stops.

A few other notes:

  • When this happens, it lags so badly that the video I have in the background on Giant Bomb's actual site freezes for a second or so.
  • It's not redirecting to the front page. If I go to the Quick Looks page, for example, the URL is still "http://qlcrew.com/?vid_type=ql" even after it loads back to the bizarro front page.

@szlifier: Sweet, I can confirm that the "mark as watched" bug is fixed now. Thanks again!

The problem I had a few weeks ago where the "Hide Watched Videos" button wasn't working seems to have been fixed... but I'm still having the problem where none of the videos I'm marking as "watched" are persisting anymore. The videos I marked as "watched" prior to making that comment 3 weeks ago are still marked correctly, it's just that anything new I mark as watched becomes "unwatched" again as soon as I change or reload the page.

Is anyone else seeing this? I can't tell if this is something purely on my end or if it's something other people are experiencing.

(Thanks for the work though!)

@szlifier Similar to @datareborn's comment, I noticed there's at least some E3 videos that aren't under the "E3" category. The We're Talking Over Press Conference videos from E3 2014, at the very least, maybe more.

Additionally, starting today, any videos I'm marking as watched aren't persisting. Videos I've marked as watched prior to today are still marked correctly, but anything I've marked today goes back to being unwatched if I reload the page. It also seems like it's "harder" to mark something as watched, that is, clicking "Mark as Watched" seems to sometimes take a few clicks for it to register, whereas I was marking a bunch of videos yesterday and never noticed this. Using Chrome 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, OS Build 14393.1198 (latest, no beta updates), if any of that helps.

I introduced 2 new features this week:

  • Video progress is kept between the YouTube Embed, the official GB Embed player on QLCrew and giantbomb.com, and everything else that supports the video progress API (e.g. Video Buddy). Video progress is shown as a red bar under a thumbnail, just like on GB.
  • You can mark videos manually as watched. This is kept in your profile on QLCrew.

Sweet. Any chance you could add the ability to filter watched videos? I've started marking everything I've watched because I've been slowly making my way through a huge backlog of content for the last few months. Thanks!

EDIT: Whoops, @void already requested this and you already replied to it. Maybe I should take a few seconds to read recent replies first.

please kill me
please kill me

The first Witcher's interface is a great example of fantasy games trying to make their UIs look all ornate and relevant to their universe at the expense of not making me want to throw up.

So Jeff hates Brad is the new Ryan hates Brad, right? I mean the legacy had to continue somehow.

Yeah, it's always adorable to see Giant Bomb's weird fan base go insane when it comes to shit like this.

I'm tempted to post a screen cap from /v/ discussing the specifics of how stupid some of the community can be about people on livestreams and such. Too many people read into things too much and try to create imaginary drama between people where there clearly isn't any. People consume enough content relating to these specific people that they (incorrectly) think they can "read" them with their garbage social skills.

With that said, Jeff is clearly going to poison Brad's coffee and kill him within the week. You could just hear it in his voice.
