Thank you all at Giant Bomb (past and present) for the countless laughs and unquantifiable entertainment throughout the years!
When I started high school, I had learned about the launch of Giant Bomb on another internet forum. After following the website on-and-off for a few years, I eventually began to watch the weekly shows, quick looks, and other video things (~video thing~) on a regular basis. From time to time, I'll replay the GOTY skits from 2012 to 2015. I still consider those a testament to Giant Bomb's creativity as a website (about video games!). On the intellectual side, the catalog of Giant Bomb content has vastly expanded my appreciation of the video game industry.
I hadn't truly internalized it until now, but Giant Bomb has been around for nearly half my life. Like many others, I initially followed the site as a teen who enjoyed video games. Flash forward to today? I have a job and my own place as an adult who enjoys video games. Between the past year and this major news, I'm introspecting upon my own life and career, and how I can broaden my horizons.
The site has always been about the people and their talents, both on-camera and behind the scenes. So many personalities have come through the website -- each contributing to what Giant Bomb was, is, and hopefully will be.
