I'm going to go out on a limb and say that FFXIII-2 seems to be possibly better than FFXIII in terms of gameplay problems the original had; fingers crossed they listened really well to concerns and criticism. I myself need to finish the first at some point.

I like to try them all out at some point; which leads to multiple save files and restarts and general grunting around. Mage normally does it for me, though. Unless I'm playing with a Mage; too much magic a-flying on the field for me.

I think the people that are the best out of their review group at game genres in particular should do the review their self. Show off the features of the game with someone who understands it, and can better express what the game is about. Someone less experienced with it could do a follow up, or a secondary review, as to show that not everyone is good at everything and common mistakes newcomers may have. That's the fun part of it -- seeing people who are normally really good at something kind of mess up and can laugh at their selves and in the end, make us laugh too.

What an exciting pissing contest this was to read! No, seriously. It's great to see so many fierce opinions.

The biggest, worst injury I've encountered didn't happen to me, or anyone else that matter. Oh, but the horrors. The chills I still get. Picture this: boyfriend gets mad, throws down his Xbox controller, it bounces off the floor, flies up and back about 2 feet in the air and smashes into his 42'' EXPENSIVE flatscreen effectively destroying the screen.

The damage it did to our minds and hearts was enough. Sigh.

I like to think that my screenname is unique to me and me alone. I use it for virtually everything; it's me, down to a T, and always has been. I'd be a little disappointed if someone else ended up using it. Especially since apparently my Steam account isn't working under that name. Hmmm.

I understand it must be a terrible thing to go through, but I couldn't stomach the idea of leaving my friend with people he's never known at a time like that. He had other family with him when it happened, but I wanted it to be me.

That is one of the saddest, sweetest things I've heard in a while. How utterly selfless and compassionate of you.

when a baby was dying they were the person who went in, took it off life support and held it until it passed away. Can't imagine anything worse on this earth. They routinely had to do this several times a month.

My god. That has got to be one of the worst things I've heard. I've worked in hospitals before but gosh. I couldn't imagine going through that but also with Centimani's post, I couldn't imagine either being alone at that time.

I feel kind of a wimp now but just saying I don't want a career that I won't be happy with especially after years and dedication in college for.

And this is why I'm looking forward to Amnesia, myself. Something that makes me feel panic, dread.

And further more speaking for myself, what I want out of a survival-horror is exactly the opposite of what you're talking about. I'm not trying to rebirth camera angles and shooting while you're feet are nailed to the ground; I want horror that'll force me to flee and hide, conserve my ammunition, make use of my environment for barricades even (which I applaud RE4 for introducing), I want to have some creepy environment for me to explore, and I want to be able to do it all fluidly enough like I'm controlling any other sort of action/adventure game. Just because it doesn't resemble what survival-horror began as doesn't mean that it shouldn't stand for what survival-horror has evolved has.
