Anyway, i realised she was preparing for a molt (when an immature arachnid sheds its exoskeleton to allow growth). Basically what they do is lay a web "molting mat" and stop eating for a period of time before it (the amount of time varies greatly, ive had some fast for a few week, others a few months). 
 
I woke up in the morning and noticed that she was pretty much flat on her back. Inexperienced arachnid owners could be fooled into thinking that they're dead as they look, well, dead. But if you look close enough you will see slight movement in their legs.

Nah jk.  It's great that you do not have a fear of spiders.  I personally would not want one in my house.

That first picture. Looks like she's got a massive hole in her torso. Hmm. That aside you should've recorded it. I would've love to see it moult since I'm fascinated by spiders. Of course, recording it over a span of two hours would've been hard.

Wow, that's pretty cool. I once remember being at my friends house when his pet snake was shedding its skin. It was quite a sight to see.

spiders creep me out. i dont hate them and will let them live but they are just weird and unnatural

That is quite terrifying. I don't think I could ever have an arachnid as a pet, as whenever I see a spider I am compelled to kill it with fire.

The closest thing I got to gross is a turtle. A red eared slider. The most basic turtle you'll see in pet shops. But the best part is that they live for a long ass time and they get fuckin huge.

So horrifying, yet so fascinating at the same time. For some reason even though Spiders terrify me, I'm always compelled to watch videos and read pages on them.

Cool post :D Also, arachnids are disgusting, and I could never have one myself. Watching pictures is as close as I voluntarily get. But it was interesting to see the process. You should film it next time and speed it up.

That's disgusting!  If I ever lived in a house with someone with per snakes or spiders I'd be walking around in a hazmat suit all day long

What do you do with it...as a pet? I mean do you ever play with it?
