Couldn't agree more with the sentiment from previous posters that are bewildered at the idea of Dan and Jason 'not being friends'. Guys, trust us; if you had friends you'd recognize that their behaviour is literally that of two very good friends. It kinda depresses me that so much of the GB community seem to be the type of guys who take themselves exceedingly seriously, don't understand human interaction, and would probably flip out at a party if someone tried to jokingly steal their fedora.
Defending someone behaving obnoxiously by insulting people doesn't really work? As Zukzuk says - and I can only speak for myself - it's the "un-Giantbomb-like" vibes that the video contains that made me turn it off. I didn't "flip out", just found it unfun to watch, and I felt a bit dumb for indirectly giving money to a dude behaving in way I would avoid in "real life" (only when he is acting that way, I'm not commenting on his general personality here, as I have never met the man).
I'm from a culture that shows affection through making fun of your friends and family, so I understand this type of interaction when it's funny and entertaining and witty and playful (or any of those things!) - even harsh can be fine - but this was just tiresome, and overwhelms the show.
If you can find some other examples of such aggressive and boorish trolling in the history of the site, I'll accept that maybe it is "Giantbomb-like", and my distaste is misguided, or I've been lucky to avoid it. I can find quite few examples of the opposite; remember the Rocket League East Vs West match? Remember how the guys genuinely shut down Dan's "bullshit"?
BUT! I WANT TO BE CLEAR! Dan is generally the best - he has brought so much to the site, and is a funny and adventurous dude. Glad he's here! ( 99.9% of the time! ;) )
This is some valid criticism of the content in this video. Someone can not like the way Dan acts as a troll, but to misinterpret it as "omg everyone hates each other, how can they stand each other, proof of ill thoughts between duders" is just irresponsible and foolish.
You Mr Crunk clearly do not fall into this category. Other posters take notice. You can not like something because of reasons (history of the culture, find it tiresome, overwhelms the show) but that does NOT mean that everyone hates each other. The proof is in comments, twitter posts, and other interactions with the fans from the guys themselves that shut those thoughts down. Don't want to believe Brad, Jason, or Dan's words? Fine, I will say you are ignoring facts, and that I have some lunar landing equipment for sale in a Hollywood studio for you.
For the record I disagree with the tone of Dan and Jason taking over the whole show. It is a running gag with them and fighting games that was for one segment. I would not want 2 hours of it (unless it is Mario Party Party) but here I find it fine.
The real beauty in all of this is the extra traffic and comments a video like this drives. They know that interactions like this on camera will rile people up. Just like how anime quick looks get more views, "fake controversy" brings it in as well. So many I should just say "flame on" people. Some of you are reinforcing their behavior that you choose to not understand.
Thanks for talking to me in a civil manner! The idea that Jason and Dan aren't friends is insane, and it frustrates me, as I think it distracts from what I see as the real issue.

I do like Dan, and I understand his shtick, but there's something about seeing a 30 year old man blowing a raspberry and throwing middle fingers that's just... really, really off-putting to me.
It's so boorish and off-putting, and it makes me feel dumb for giving the site money! :(
