total confirmation now from Infinity

Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven’t had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we’re 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we’re native 1080p on PS4. We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both. Still on the road, but glad to see the great reception to Extinction. Can’t wait for next week's launch.

I wonder why PS games colors look more washed out.

But the article makes it seem like the PS4 vs Xbox One is hard to decide on because the upscaling on the PS4 to 1080p sucks ass. MS is doing something good and while the lower resolution makes aliasing more noticeable, textures and other visuals pop more on the Xbox. They dont seem to take advantage of the PS4s better hardware and games that are not in 1080p might look better on the Xbox because the upscaling on the PS4 is not that good. So the PS4 might definitely look better on a 720p tv.

The guy who originally broke this story / rumor on NeoGAF now claims that several more insiders have stepped up to confirm the the rumor.

During a press conference in Brazil, friend of the site Adam Boyse just confirmed native 1080p at 60fps for Call of Duty: Ghosts on PS4.

The ball's in your court, Microsoft...

But is that resolution native or up-scaled. That's what this rumor concerns. I can run Call of Duty at 1080p on my Xbox 360 right now, but that doesn't mean it's a true 1080p game.
