@williamflattener: I'm with you. I don't use Reinhardt all that often and don't actually have any of his awesome skins, but I think Lionhardt and Stonehardt are the coolest looking skins in the game.

There are a few characters that, in my opinion, could have had much cooler alternate skins--especially considering Blizz's Heroes of the Storm skins, which they typically knock out of the park.

Torbjörn, Tracer, LĂșcio, Mercy. A li'l disappointing. But I'm really hoping to get one of the McCree skins or that Genji desert dude getup.

If you used the Huntsman a lot on Sniper then you're going to be really good with Hanzo. They feel the exact same and I'm getting headshots like crazy because Overwatch projectile hitboxes are just like TF2s.

I'm ashamed to say I never even made the connection. *Man* it's nice to snipe without fear of a backstab.

@bbalpert: I love Zarya, but I do not like her alt skins at all for some reason.

I do enjoy all the "totally not Paladin armor" skins for Reinhardt, though. So take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Yeah, I don't think it happens enough in my experience for me to think there's an actual "drama" system in place. In the case of payload maps, it's definitely designed to favor the defense more as the payload nears it's destination, so I can see that leading to cases where the defending team can make a last minute save.

I nominate "Drama System" as the official term going forward.

I wondered the same things as Jeff, but with a tad less antagonism. Without any numbers crunched, I'm skeptical that Blizzard would risk the impending controversy ("Blizzard eSports Game is rigged!!!1!1") but every time I sit down with the game I'm struck by how much momentum flip-flopping goes on. Like... possibly a suspicious amount.

Has anybody ever actually claimed that Hearthstone is a better Magic: The Gathering?

I mean.. in the broadest terms of 'I think Hearthstone is a better card game' I guess?

You'd be inherently wrong, it's a more accessible card game. But that is what I think Blizzards MO actually is - first and foremost they take an existing idea and make it accessible (and therefore fun) to pretty much everyone.

I would say Hearthstone is definitely a better video game than any iteration of Magic can ever hope to be. It was designed to work well in a computer environment. Having tried two of the Magic PC games, the fundamental aspects like the stack, the turn phases and triggered abilities don't translate well at all into a computer game.

Sure, no video game implementation has been good for Magic, that's true. But as a card game, Magic is better in almost all regards.

For the Magic uninformed, can you elaborate on some things Magic does better than Hearthstone? I'm not arguing, I'm just interested to know more.

@adequatelyprepared: I stumbled (heh) onto that when trying to put some space between me and a Soldier 76. It pushed him away and pushed me back too. Do you know if it does damage to Pharah if she's in the radius of the blast?

Have you had that moment where certain TF2 cues make you automatically do certain behaviors? How did it work for you?

Here are a few I did:

  • First thing with JunkRat: "I wonder if I can sticky jump with this mine...." Result: Success!
  • With Pharah: "I wonder if I can rocket jump...." Result: Not really, and why did I even try that if she can fly?
  • With LĂșcio: "I see that there is a rocket coming at me. I wonder if I can airblast it back at Pharah....?" Result: Definitely not.
  • I also catch myself trying to double jump with Tracer.

The more I read about this game and play different characters, the more I realize the depth of the individual characters and the combinations / matchups between their powers. What are some character tips that other players might not know?

Mine: Apparently, D. Va's defense matrix can stop Hanzo's ult--but only if it's still an arrow and hasn't yet turned into dragons.

(edit: Sorry if I messed up the "answerable question" checkbox. I'm not 100% certain when to use/not use.)
