A game I should love but just doesn't click with me? I've got a hell of a recent example of that. Fallout 4. In fact, most Bethesda RPGs in fact. On paper their games should be right up my alley; great fictional worlds to get lost in, huge open worlds to explore at my leisure, interesting characters and stories, but I just fail to get absorbed into their games. With Skyrim it was the combat. I need combat to feel good for me to get into a game, and Skyrim's combat definitely doesn't feel good. With Fallout 4 it's just that the game feels so dated. The Witcher 3 also came out this year, and I lost over 80 hours of my life to that game. Compared to that, Fallout 4 feels like a game that should have come out 2 or 3 years ago. It doesn't feel like a (god I hate this but I'll say it) next generation open world game. It feels very much like a last generation experience.
So glad you guys are doing something with Life is Strange. I absolutely love this series, and if the last episode is as good as the first 4 it's easily in my top 5 GOTYs.
