It's one of my favorite series of all time, of all mediums. And I have no desire to play anything else they put out.

Heard the new DLC is about a rogue reaper. Takes real discipline from a writing team to keep something alien and unknowable. And not just over-explain and iterate 'till you basically get human actions in alien bodies.

Gentlemen, please. Yes, the haystack jumping has always been a major weak point.

However, you seem to mix up two different concepts and how they do or do not break suspension of disbelief. The Animus is a fictitious device in a sci-fi setting; we allow a lot more from that than something that exist in real life, and we know how works.

The singularity. Then all bets are off.

I wanted a "Return of the king" ending. I got a "2001: A space odyssey"/"Battlestar Galactica" ending.

Also, the synthesis one was really cheaply done. They should have gone full dr. Manhattan/ascended evolution with that, in my opinion. And what is it with the fascination with "the garden of eden". Crashing a ship on a lonely garden planet with 20 people and limited supplies is really going to suck. (And why was the Normandy jumping away at the time anyway. Shouldn't they be waiting for Shepard, atleast long enough to find out if he died or not.)

Also, final note. Really sad they went for the bsg - creating AI that will destroy you is inevitable - route. That's not cool sci fi. Thats "technology is scary and should be avoided" luddism.

After collector ship, before IFF seems to be a good time to do it, as previously mentioned. You get the opportunity to make a bit of cash, but if you have an imported char/ completed the game previously, money should not be critical.

You do get some random weapon upgrades, not sure if it's one per playthrough. (Got sniper dmg as infiltrator, only checked back once)

I might be in the minority here, but I infinitely prefered the mako over planet scanning. Gave some sense of the loneliness of remote installations, and how barren the majority of planets are.

From my two data points, ME1 and ME2, I can only extrapolate that the ME3 soundtrack will be a boring mess of mainstream movie-esque music. Which makes me real sad, because ME1 soundtrack was amazing.

Still, one can hope.

(And gentlemen, trailer soundtracks usually have nothing to do with the soundtrack proper, soundtracks gets made late in the developement progress, for movies and games, therefore other artists are used for pre-release material. Case in point, how every goddamn trailer is scored by Two Steps from Hell. Like on top of this very page)
