I am still wrestling with myself in ordering Witcher 2, Skyrim, Dark Souls, and Batman.

After all the smack people talked about Batman being more of the same and how Arkham Asylum might actually be better, Batman Arkham City is goddamn amazing.

Witcher 2 has its own share of problems to be sure, but man what a pretty deep and complex game.

Skyrim is everything I wanted from an Elder Scrolls.

Dark Souls is fantastic too, although the areas after you get the lordvessel are disappointing. Like the Swamp World 5 situation where it felt rushed, but spread over a bunch of areas. That and it having its own share of bugs and oddities...

@ZeForgotten: Well I feel like it is different enough. I totally understand the criticisms against Uncharted, Gears, and Batman. But Batman seems like it is fresh enough to me.

I don't know, I should probably finish it. Maybe I'm just hypnotized

And I'm not looking for the "perfect" game. I'm just weighing how much grief and joy each game gave me.
