As great as this is, I’m not sure this is a good model for all Quick Looks, since it seems much more time and editing intensive than the standard format and there’s only so many hours in the week, but I think it’s a great argument for playing with the format and applying it differently to different games when possible.
Agreed, pretty much my thoughts exactly. I really liked this one, as it was short, to the point, fit the subject and answered just about everything i needed to know about this new edition of, uh… "StanPara".
It was a good video and I enjoyed it, but it feels more like the old GB video reviews. I'd love to see those make a return in a format like this, but for Quick Looks themselves I prefer the distinction of having the crew just jumping into a game together, especially when it's blind.
Jeff is correct with regard to Sonic; the games were terrible. Once you're stopped from zipping around on loops and springs and are forced into the game's platforming it completely falls apart, the characters control like ass, terrible movement, terrible jumping, terrible games.
