    Overview

Psychosis (JP: Paranoia) is a horizontal shoot 'em up for the TurboGrafx-16. The game is best known for its surrealist setting inside the protagonist's mind, filled with unusual bug-like enemies and Salvador Dali-esque backgrounds. Power-ups can be found by eliminating certain enemies, and can offer both offensive and defensive bonuses.

The game was released in 1990 for the TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine, published by NEC in the US and Naxat Soft in Japan. It was later added to the Wii's Virtual Console in 2008.
