Here's a good build on how to beat the two initial dungeons in this game:
It takes a bunch of rolls, so use the "Hire new heroes" feature until you get this combination:
Hero:
1. Tank (Warrior - Profile B)
* Upgrade Health to ~250, Armour Physical, Armour Elemental
* Midgame/Endgame: Upgrade Physical Attack/Speed
2. Priest
* Upgrade Special, Chance
3. Rogue
* Upgrade Special, Chance, Speed, Agility
Pets:
1. Alchemist
2. Sage
Totem:
No effect
Put Secondary Stances on both Tank and Priest - these stay on the entire game. Keep fighting, when you need to heal your tank (who will be taking all damage), Steal with the Rogue, feed to the Alchemist Pet, and use Potion.
When you DON'T need to heal, steal and give items to the Sage for experience. With this, you can almost level up and heal indefinitely.
Towards the very end, make sure you use Fire Rune on your Shield and Earth on the Sword/Mace as the Tank so that when tanking the Boss you deal 2x Damage and Hit Back.
The end Boss spawns some Paladins who can heal him and AOE attackers... so you need to mass-heal with the Priest, target the Paladins, and keep stealing/healing until you keep leveling up. From there it's a Snap.
