The game starts off with the most bare-bone mechanics, nothing but basic movement and a few challenges for now. You have your solar-powered jet and one clear goal, chase the sun!.

As you progress through the game it will slowly add more challenges which allows you to level up and unlock new things, and before you know it you will be dodging cubes, triangles, and cylinders, while bombs fall from the skies and random objects fall to the ground, blocking your path.

While all of this is happening around you you will be trying to find another consumable power up to help you get just that bit closer to completing the next challenge so you can unlock that sweet level up and gain some cool new stuff.

There is one small problem i found while playing through this though. as the game unfolds it will start spawning portals which sends you to new places, and this is where i had a small problem on the higher levels of quality, since these areas really seems to tank the frame-rate unless you stay on the lower levels of quality. It needs to be said though that this is not the most graphically impressive game, so i don't necessarily mind staying on low quality to gain the better frame-rate.

As for the amount of levels in the game i don't think you can go wrong with race the sun, the base game might only have two levels, but those two manages to stay fun for the first couple of hours, and if you feel like getting more you can always grab a few levels from the steam marketplace where you can find some more levels created by the fans of the game, which gives the game a bit more bang for the buck. (top pic is from a custom level from the steam marketplace)

That's pretty much all there is to be said about this game. Its pretty entertaining and might give you a few hours of good fun if an infinite runner with barrel-rolls and fast paced dodging sounds like the thing you would enjoy.

Overall i give this game a 4 out of 5 since it does what it does really well, but it lacks in the graphical aspect since its mostly just gray shapes which makes it go stale after a while.
