    Overview

Rapid Angel, or Kaisoku Tenshi: The Rapid Angel, is a 1998 2D side-scrolling action game for the PlayStation and, until fairly recently, exclusive to the Japan region. In 2011 the game was released on the PlayStation Network as part of the PSone Classics series by MonkeyPaw Games, who also brought Money Puzzle Exchanger to international regions as well as a handful of other Japanese PS1 games.

The game features a team of delivery girls - the titular Rapid Angels - and their boss who get embroiled in a silly plot involving magic, mad scientists and giant robots. Each stage of the game, which has one of three heroines - either close-range melee, mid-distance weapon combat or ranged combat - makes their way across the stage past obstacles and enemies, is bookmarked with hand-drawn anime cutscenes that offer a lot of jokes and slapstick.
