" After reading through this text-monster, it's more or less a well written article of all the features already announced. It's almost like a review it's so indepth with everything. "This. I'm still going for Alan Wake.
Answers a lot of my questions about the game and assures me I'm making a good choice in buying this on its first day.
I don't see the appeal to Alan Wake, to be honest. Meh, horror, been done. Pretty graphics, yay, I guess that's nice. A western made by the same people that make the best open world games in the industry, and recently have a knack for story telling? Now that interests me. Then again, being led down a straight path to me has rarely been my thing in games, so Alan Wake surely wasn't made for me.
Thanks for linking the article. Really interesting stuff. It also finally answered my question about the horse controls. I thought it was going to be like Assassins Creed where there are three different speeds however it sounds much better how you choose your own speed by tapping the button and then holding it to maintain that speed.
Great article. I figgered I'd pull out a few points I really liked:
• the largest landscape Rockstar has ever built
• around 450 individual characters
• over 40 different types of animals
• an active eco-system
• astonishingly well-realised sense of history
• filled with random encounters
And like the news radio station in GTAIV would do stoires on your past missions:
"...take a ride out into the wilderness at night, you may stumble across groups of travellers telling campfire yarns about your endeavours.".
Man, I cannot wait.
Only 13 days to go.
Pro-tip: Play the game in expert and get used to lack of auto-aim. Or start at normal and graduate to expert at some point in the campaign. If you intend to play online, familiarizing yourself with manual aiming will only increase your enjoyment of the experience. This was how GTAIV worked for me, anyway. The quicker you adapt to aiming on your own, the more successful you will be online.
God dayum I can't wait. 18th of May, right? 18th of May. 18th of May. Gonna try to get my dad into this game.
