Just went on steam as i heard they were offering preload on it and instead of of 5 days remaining it is now 1 month and 5 days. Sigh.

When invading aliens capture the Saints and imprison their minds in a digital recreation of Steelport, it's up to the Boss (who by now has become the President of the United States) to free Earth from its oppressive new overlords.
australian release date has been pushed back a month
Got a steam key by other means. Wasn't willing to wait anymore including the loss of that content. and how they waited till 2 days before the game is ment to ship to announce this just baffles the mind
Guh. And all because of some alien narcotic?
In a country renowned for using substances like alcohol to excess?
I have no idea what these silly fucks are thinking. Hell, I think I know only one person in my demographic who hasn't taken drugs.

ESRB is our ratings bored last time i checked it is almost completely stocked 55+ year old women, who im assuming dont really play games
@spyder335: or take alien narcotics.
Yes, there is a male or two but mainly white women.
Wait, maybe they are in the know.
Terrence McKenna must be right, psilocybin is an alien spore holy FUCK.
@konig_kei: Damn, originally it looked like it was just the Steam version being pushed back..
Oh well, I'm glad I imported mine from the US.
Sucks for ya'll but maybe the month will give them time to fix the cut mission up proper as Jeff suggested on the bombcast?
thats kind of the only solace i can take from this
Some people have tried to activate their American keys and have found they are locked behind the AUS release date. Bastards.
It's AWESOME being an Australian gamer. You pay MORE money, for LESS (cut) content, and you wait LONGER to play!
Like I said. Being an Aussie gamer is absolute TITS.
Totally just cancelled my preorder. It looked pretty crappy in the quick look (Really? No day/night cycle in an open world game? Just a depressingly drab city?) and I'd rather preorder X: Rebirth.
@mr_scumbag: Yep, it sucks. I loved SR3 but I wont be buying this now.
@mr_scumbag: How much is it on american steam, seeing as we pay in american dollars on there anyway i assumed we pay the same.
Really can't believe that mission is a reason for all this hoopla.its really the point where the game kicked off for me the loyalty missions are the best part! Seek an uncut version Aussie friends!
I started playing last night, being an aussie the game just became available for us today. And Shaundis drug mission is still in the game fully intact. I thought maybe it'd been censored or edited but as far as I can tell it wasn't at all.
Unless when the characters are "lighting up" and are holding actual lightbulbs while doing so this was the change (which hey I think makes it even funnier if so). Do they have actual joints in the US version of the mission? maybe that's what they edited. Still a months delay just for that seems crazy.

Can anyone else verify this?
@probablytuna: sure can duder, just finished that mission myself, they light up using broken lightbulbs, when I saw the shaundi loyalty mission I thought they may have edited it but, yup alien narcotics.
And the rectifier is still in so I have no idea what they changed
Provided you originally purchased the international edition of the game you will receive the full uncut version. The Geo IP release window lock simply prevented you from downloading the proper version when it was released everywhere else. Had you run steam through a VPN in the 4 weeks prior you would have been able to play just fine.
On a side note it's nice to be able to fire up the game now without having to pretend i'm in LA.

Huh, that is really strange. Are you playing on the console version or PC?

They're supposed to be lightbulbs, it's from SR2 or something where they used to smoke lightbulbs. Weird yeah, but it's SR.
@probablytuna: PC version.
