Playing Persona 3 FES right now, and I don't see the difference a new main character makes: you never hear any dialog from them, and they have no inherent personality. I guess it's just an avatar thing for females.

Awesome! I just bought P3FES because of the endurance run, and I have to say it's amazing.

I've just today finished P3 FES. If only I knew that this psp version would be coming out sooner, I could have waited! As it stands, I can't really be bothered to play through the game again, as great as it is. Anyone who hasn't played 3 should check it out though. It's as good as 4; honestly. The characters are great.

Can't wait to evoke on the go... I've been waiting for an excuse to shout "PERSONA!!!" on the bus as loud as possible... :D

cool post Vinnie. I played through persona 3 this summer after seeing how much fun persona 4 looked on the endurance run. Now i'm working my through persona 4 and keeping up with the endurance run while i go. Super cool games

The Answer will still suck.

I'm actually playing P3: FES right now and am trying to finish it, but if they were to add the improvements of the series made in 4 to 3, I'm more than game for P3P

I just want persona 5 at this point

I'm on my 95th hour of my P3 playthrough and I am totally stoked by the prospect of playing through the game again... AS A LAY-DEE. 
 
So Vinny, will you weigh in on the eternal debate?  Which do you prefer: Persona 3 or Persona 4?

I think I like Persona 4 much better. There's only so many Japanese kids wearing weird uniforms I can take.

I'm totally psyched for this, even after having played through PS3 + FES 3 times now. Having a female lead was something I was hoping to see in P4 (which didn't happen, obviously, but maybe we'll see it in P5 or perhaps the option to choose) so this is awesome! I wonder if we'll see the same treatment for P4 in the future.. One can hope!
 
Oh and the fact you'll be able to control your other teammates in combat fixes the only glaring problem P3 had, horray!

I was sold at Persona 3 for the PSP.

Day-and-date purchase for me if/when it gets localized. I wasn't planning on grabbing a PSP anytime soon, but now...

I have never played any persona game and I have always heard P3 was great. So this is a day-1 buy for me... I have been looking for a reason to pull my PSP out from under my dining table leg... Wobbly breakfast be damned! 
 
Oh and enthusiasm is due 100% to the P4 Endurance Run.

Oh man. I'm gonna play as a girl and go out with all the guys. ALL OF THEM!!!
 
Speaking of which, wonder if your dates will get angry if they see you going out with someone else like in the original. Probably will have that friends/girlfriend mechanic in P4 I guess.

I love all of the Persona games. It bums me out a little that Atlus won't (or, at least haven't announced) remake Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. I have the latter, so I won't get too depressed.  
 
BTW: I just finished Persona 4 on Sunday. You guys are going to love it.

well, well...playing as a girl will be quite a major change to the story, indeed. For starters, how will they handle the romantic s. links? Also, the relationship between Aigis and the MC might change quite a bit...especially the ending. I don't see how they could keep the same level of emotion for the ending if they mess with that relationship too much. Interesting.

What I'm wondering now is whether or not P3P will include everything FES added, including The Answer scenario. If so, we may all die of old age before completing this game.

Damnit, I already played Persona 3 twice!  
Oh well, what's another 2 times?

The events of the Answer should be considered cannon -- that is, blown up, blown away, ejected. Its presence will not be missed.

Without any extra content, this game will be at least 125+ hours for a playthrough of The Journey and The Answer.

damn straight i'm ready to evoke on the go. er.. play persona 3 on my psp.

Apparently when Atlus whores out they get a free pass.

I really do hope Persona 5 comes out on the PS3. If and when it does come out that is.
