If you guys want to learn all about the 40k universe, the best thing to do is to read the set of novels in the Horus Heresy Set. There are loads, but they give you an entire insight to the entire unvierse and why it's like it is. In fact, the books are set in the 30,000's so it's 10k years before the miniature game is based :P 
 
So there you go, give those a check, the are amazing novels, Dan Abnet is one of the main writers, one of the greatest Science Fiction writers around.

Listening to these guys talk about copyright infringement issues is ridiculously bad.

It already exists Brad, It's called the Sony Vaio Z, it has an external graphics card dock with a 6650m. Not everything is invented by Apple.

I'm always so sad when Jeff isn't on these podcasts.

I remember Brad going on at Vinny about why Nintendo didn't have any good launch 3DS titles, now he's caved and agrees with him, LOL.

WTH with the Adobe hate? Yeah Premiere is a pain in the ass but most of the other software in there are industry standards and pretty easy to use. lol Sorry that is what I was thinking on the ride to work this morn when I heard that.

Brad good sir how dare you call Castlevaina HD a bad game, that is only your opinion, I think its great and have 300+ hours played, I have also seen it on the top rated/downloaded xbla games in the marketplace for a good while. Just because a game is not your style that doesn't make it bad.

It is a bit bloated in terms of code. CS5 is better, and much more stable, but Adobe products do tend to be a bit sluggish or unstable. They are the most powerful products out therefor the most part though, which is why you put up with it. So I can see where they are coming from.

Couldn't agree more. Just completed my own MG Gundam Epyon for entry in my first competition. I'd estimate it was a 9-12 hour build, and there are a lot of fit and finish mistakes, but the end product is so rewarding. It's not really about how well you did, but about the fact you did it yourself. It's expected that your early work will be garbage. If you're like me, though, you'll always hate the final product. Perfectionism at work there.

But Vinny, if you're seriously considering getting involved in modeling, I'd say do it. Pick a topic you're interested in and buy a small model, a xacto knife, some spray paint, some sand paper and a pair of side cutters and try it out. You may need a small pen for panel lines if you want to do planes of mechs. You won't need to invest in major equipment like Air Brushes until you get way into the hobby. Most models have good enough color separation now that you likely won't even need to worry about hand painting or masking. I have terrible fine motor skills, yet I still get a pretty decent product and have a ton of fun doing it. If you're interested in Gundam, High Grades are an amazing place to start. They're quick, simple builds, with a good amount of detail and are fairly cheap. It's just a really fun hobby and a nice complement to a day of gaming as you can play quite a bit in between steps.

I dunno about the game but the actual cartoon is pretty funny. Been watching it with my daughters lately, it's hilarious.

Rayman 3D is the Dreamcast version. Rayman DS was a port of the Nintendo 64 version.

I don't understand why you want to REMOVE options from games, such as removing the ability for multiple saves. I don't want to just have a single save cause that is just limiting. If you want, you can play a game with one save. But it doesn't make sense why you would want game makers to remove features that don't hinder gameplay, and actually is fairly helpful, from their games.

Apple isn't getting rid of their workstations. The compiler/IDE is free & 
they need that in order for people to build applications for Apple's other
products, such as the iPhone or iPad.  Do you think they would just put
development for their products on a PC?  I seriously doubt that.  So despite
the Bombcast making a statement about workstations going away or its
software, I don't really think this will work.  The development tools are 
tethered back to the Apple's computers for all of Apple's other products.  
So they are here to stay.
 
I think there is a cycle in Apple's products where they try new things that
aren't as good as previous, so they'll move back to a sweet spot eventually.
Sales will make sure the direction goes in the right place.  Otherwise, if it
takes off, then perhaps the programming or OS/app paradigm has shifted?

I'm listening to this a couple of weeks late so someone has probably already beat me to this, but that external video card that they were talking about? Sony has already done this with the new Vaio Z and its docking station
